I was on Fosamax for years but for several years but it stopped working. It doesn't build bone just stops about 40% loss. Your dentist is correct but the greatest problem with extractions is when the Fosamax is injected because you receive a much higher dose. I wish I had never taken Fosamax because you can still have problems with extractions even after you stop the medication. I'm interested in feed-back on Algaecal because it sounds good. I'm trying to manage without medication by walking every day and doing weight bearing exercises. |

I was lured into using Algaecal about two years ago. My bone density went from osteopenia to severe osteoporosis! I then found out that the calcium compound in Algaecal is calcium carbonate, the same junk found in Tums. I can't believe I fell for this crap. I emailed the Canadian company and realized that they don't have a clue about calcium. Pathetic!

Dear Forum,
I have osteoporosis too, and have taken Fosamax. I became concerned about the long term effects and decided to look for an alternative. There is one! I found a Chinese Herbal Medicine called Xianling Gubao. It is hard to find here in the states, as it is under approval by our FDA at this time. It is offered in OTC form in China, however, and I have a supplier there. Unlike many Chinese Traditional Medicines, this one is manufactured by a highly respected firm who does clinical trials to verify the efficacy of their medicines. Xianling Gubao in its trials shows efficacy equal to the biophosphonates! It has no side effects, either! I have decided to try and market it, and have a website. If you are interested, I have links to the clinical trial information. The price is reasonable, considering shipping from China. Feel free to contact me for any information! mikedmonds@verizon.net mountainpharma@gmail.com Sincerely, Mike |

The Algaecal discussions are posted by people who work for that company. That is how the market/exploit people. Scum

I do not know what to do, I tried Evista prescribed by my doctor. He says I lost 22.2% of my bone in 6 years. Evista made me very sick, a side effect that is not even warned about. I want to use natural medicine, but I am suspicious of all these websites - maybe these are snake doctor medicines. Can you or someone please tell me an honest natural medication |

Keeping bones healthy is what many Fosamax users are concerned with. These people are also the ones who are plaintiffs in Fosamax Femur Lawsuits. http://www.fosamaxfemurfracturelawsuit.com/fe...

A study from Cecelia Tiemann says that there are three ways that may prevent a person from developing osteoporosis. Such as first, is to eat balanced meals including fats, carbohydrates and proteins along with calcium and vitamin D supplementation. Secondly, exercise has been shown to stop and even reverse osteoporosis. The recommended exercise program should include strength, weight bearing and flexibility training and lastly is sunlight in safe doses has also been shown to benefit bone health from the synthesis of vitamin D in the skin. If these are religiously followed there may be lesser of of numbers of people getting hip implant surgeries which leads disgruntled patients in filing a http://www.depuypinnaclelawsuit.com/ .

By keeping your bones healthy you can avoid injury and the need to take such medications like Fosamax. This can also help you avoid taking such actions like a Fosamax lawsuit because you have been injured due to a side effect of the drug.

I think you can (quite easily?) replenish vitamins by simply eating the things that bones needs.
For example a salmon contains over 400 units of Vitamin D per 100g. See: http://calories-and-nutrition.info/... Generally fish contain large amount of Vit D. |

Truly, one should keep bones healthy. Be careful on the medications you take because these may just worsen your condition like the defective medical products. For instance, the DePuy hip replacement devices that are supposed to alleviate hip pain, but due to defectiveness, they cause patients to suffer more. This problem provoked patients to file DePuy ASR lawsuit to its manufacturer. See http://www.depuyhipreplacementlawsuit.com/hip... .
