All sounds good. But, I can tell that at least when I feel that back pain in the back itself is not because I think about from where it really coming from, it's back pain. I do not see it coming from 'thinking where it coming from', it's just feel at my back and that's it. I did tried ignored for many years now, but it just keep on coming from the back that's all.
See, I did got injured working for a property management company (A Biggie) not to say names and from then on the pain it's just there. I did went for treatment and all of that and some how did help a little but still there that's it. Actually it does run down my legs and feets as well since that trouble back then. And the 'compensation' deal as you can imagine it's like a soap series, dissapointed... I dont going argue with your studies but I'm just telling that when the back and leg pain attack it does feeling from there, don't get me wrong. Anyway I'm glad to hear about these discoveries as far as will help more people with such ailments as well. Definetly... Be good all... |

Yep all in my head. My last MRI revealed.....
1) AT L2-L3 MODERATE LEFT PARACENTRAL DISC PROTRUSION AND RESULTS IN MILD TO MODERATE CENTRAL STENOSIS IN AP DIMENSION. 2) AT L3-L4 MODERATE TO LARGE DIFFUSE DISC HERNIATION ASYMMETRIC TO THE LEFT. THERE IS BILATERAL FACET OSTEOARTHERITIS WITH LIGAMENTUM FLAVUM HYPERTROTHY. COMBINATION OF THESE FACTORS RESULTS IN SIGNIFICANT CENTRAL STENOSIS. THERE IS LEFT GREATER THAN RIGHT FORAMINAL NARROWING. 3) AT L4-L5 MODERATE CENTRAL DISC PROTRUSION SUPER IMPOSED ON DIFFUSE DISC BULGE. 4) AT L5-S1 MINIMAL POSTEROLISTHESES OF L5 ON S1. THERE IS EVIDENCE OF PREVIOUS RIGHT HEMILAMINECTOMY. INSEPARABLE FROM THE RIGHT S1 NERVE ROOT, THERE IS A LARGE EXTRUDED/SEQUESTERED DISC FRAGMENT EXTENDING INFERIORLY. ADDITIONAL POST CONTRAST IMAGES MULTILEVEL DISC DESICCATION IS PRESENT 1) AT L2-L3 THERE IS A MODERATE LEFT PARACENTRAL DISC PROTRUSION. THERE IS AN ASSOCIATED ENHANCING ANNULAR FISSURE. DISC MATERIAL FLATTENS THE VENTRAL ASPECT OF THE THECAL SAC AND RESULTS IN MILD TO MODERATE CENTRAL STENOSIS IN THE AP DIMENSION. 2) AT L3-L4 THERE IS A MODERATE TO LARGE DIFFUSE DISC HERNIATION ASYMMETRIC TO THE LEFT. THERE IS BILATERAL FACET OSTEOARTHERITIS WITH LIGMENTUM FLAVUM HYPERTROPHY. A COMBINATION OF THESE FACTORS RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT CENTRAL STENOSIS, BEST APPRECIATED ON AXIAL IMAGE # 10. if the brain reduces blood flow to your hip bones it can cause degeneration of the bone. painful.
|
|
|
the bones depend on blood flow from the musculature, if it is reduced because of say a fight or flight response to severe or constant stress, it could cause degeneration of the bones, causing unrelenting real pain. Sorry guys, it makes sense.

I've been unfortunatley involved with back pain for over 27 years and at times find it be the most miserable thing to deal with. I too believe in mind over matter and find myself teaching myself about pain management. Most people with my situation cannot handle it. I found much improvment to my everyday life needs. I just don't understand the relationship. Boy, when the back hurts, it REALLY hurts.

I keep trying to tell myself it's all in my head, but it doesn't work! My MRI and CAT scan tells me it's not all in my head, but they tell me there is only surgery ( which MIGHT not help!!)or dealing with it.I need something, anything to make me feel better. I have a good life, a good family, and a great husband, I just want to feel good! I want to be a normal 26 year old! I want someone to talk to me and tell me what else to try, what else to do, or tell me there is nothing I can do so I can try to move on and learn how to live with being ME!! But like Crip saip, " all in my head."

A new mattress can do wonders. But like most, I couldn't afford a new bed, especially right away.
If your doc suggest a more stable mattress, you can try a bed board. That is what I had to do, until I saved up for a new bed. They are essentially a board designed to add stability to your mattress. You just slide it between the mattress and the box spring. They are pretty cheap too. I got mine at www.vitalitymedical.com . Hope this helps! Joey |

In my experience, very few cases of back pain are actually mental. Most people really don't like to suffer. That being said, a person's outlook in terms of pain management can have a profound effect on recovery.
What I find as the best option (safe, low-cost, and extremely effective) is a well designed, exercise program. Just getting moving is one of the biggest steps you can take to helping reduce, alleviate or fix back pain. Along with this movement based approach, you need to educate yourself on what is CAUSING your pain. For some people it will be bending forward, for others, sitting in a certain position, other still may be affected by spinal loading. Once you find out what is causing your pain, you have to remove it, allow the tissues to heal and then reintegrate those movements back in gradually, as tolerated. With mechanical low back pain, there is always a solution (and more often than not, you won't need risky surgery!) if you're willing to look for it. Don't give up! I have pulled my own molar with a pair of pliers, ther was an end to that pain. When you wake up 9of 10 mornings with at least a 3# pain and believe most people would say 5 for going on 3 years now, it ain't in my head. I am a recovering alcoholic and while I am dancing with the devil being on Morphine THAT is exactly what was told was the best thing for me to do until these recently new procedures are being done for young active people that just happened to beat the crap out of their bodies when they were young. Me it was 8 years racing MX at expert level. After a year or 2 when there is no relief in site except being accepted for less inavasive surgery and 2 surgeons staing "I can't fix your whole back, I don't think it's in my head. Depressing you bet and I admit some days the couch is the easiest way to deal with life that day. I feel liek a whiny 48 yr old man but UNLESS you have experienced I don't want to hear ANY FREAKIN' THEORIES

Apparently this doctor has never had real back pain.
|
|

That doctor may have a point; however, osteoporosis is not a mental problem. It is indeed a bone debilitating disorder, Furthermore, the side effects of Fosamax, the drug they are prescribed, is an added problem as a consequence to their Fosamax therapy. http://www.fosamaxfemurfracturelawsuit.com/fo...

Was this Dr Frankenstein? The doc who killed Michael Jackson, or Kayne West's mom? Some of these guys look like a duck, walk like a duck and quack like a duck. So they are quacks. Do a search of vitimin D and some back pain. See, if you go to a surgeon with back pain, he's about surgery. Go to a psychologist, its about suppressed memory. Psychiatrist thinks you're insane. Quacks
