Yes but wouldn't it cause more of a panic to call it swine/avian/human, "hell were not sure" flu?

Too bad the idiots in Egypt already ordered all their pigs killed.

(Well they were really just using that as an excuse to pick on the Christian minority pig farmers anyway.)

Isn't that a funny first sentence:

"The World Health Organization said confirmed swine flu cases rose to 257 worldwide Thursday and announced it will would stop using the term "swine flu" to avoid confusion over the danger posed by pigs."

We have confirmed 257 swine flu cases, but we're not going to use swine flu anymore ... after this time .. but, not tomorrow ... we hope.

How is this going to help? Calling it something different will change what, exactly? The damage is done. They've already have everyone in a frenzy over 257 cases WORLDWIDE. Kind of reminds me of microsoft .. innovation through renaming things.

It's the Mexican flu, since Mexico is where it started.
It's already being called "Mexican flu" in Israel, Europe, the USA, and South America.

I feel safer already, now that we have bowed to Muslim demands and it the WHO isn't going to call it swine flu. I hope the CDC tells them where to stick it as all the literature has "swine flu".

According to the BBC they are doing it to pacify the Jews and Muslims. Why the term swine flu would bother them makes absolutely no sense.

Any theories as to why there has been a concerted effort by the media to cause mass hysteria over a few cases of "call it whatever you want to" flu?

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Leo

There's an erratic quality to the day, thanks to the Full Moon in emotional Cancer, combined with a lunar eclipse. Loved ones are likely to behave in ways you hadn't counted on. The only way to cope with this is to be as flexible as possible. Someone might change an arrangement at the eleventh hour so you have to think on your feet, or others may be determined to do their own thing even though it doesn't suit you. Get any arguments out of the way quickly so you can enjoy your New Year's Eve celebrations with a glad heart.
