I had my appendix out in early July 2011 its now 5/9/11 almost 2months in im in so much pain! i was in A&E (ER) for 24hrs before they removed my appendix, firstly the surgeon did not even want to see me as they thought it could be girly problems (lol) i think i would know the diff! ANYHOW after alot of arguing whilst in pain and begging for pain relief i had it removed have alovely scar/wound that has not healed, am on anti biotics still! i received no aftercare and was in and out of hospital due to this damned infection, also when i was on anti biotics had normal bowel movements, i came off anti biotics for a week and ended up with anal bleeding and constipation with no justification of why! so good luck and god bless everyone with this as im so unfortunate with my appendix removed! its like having a sharp knife being twisted in my gut wen i sleep, move, use a toilet, sit in a car!:(

very normal....he'll be that way for another month.....the pain will slowly but gradually go away with meds....i had mine removed when i was 8yrs old and i remember it being the most horrific pain i ever had in my entire life, not only that, i was very stubborn and i never took meds and dealt with the pain. im now 27yrs old....and every now and then i still feel pain in the area where the surgery left the scar...its not an appendix pain but more like a feeling of getting stuck with needles over and over again in the area...it really sucks.

Gall stones affect roughly 10 per cent of adults over 40. They start to occur in nearly 25 percent of adult females in the Usa. Approximately twenty pct of adult males currently have gall stones by the time these people get seventy-five years. Due to the fact almost all conditions usually are asymptomatic, even so, a lot of these levels may perhaps undervalue the condition in elderly males. Gallstone disorder is fairly rare in youngsters. Ladies will be probably at increased threat given that the female hormone estrogen stimulates the liver to get rid of far more trans fat from blood and thus move this to the bile. Females of childbearing period might need to opt for birth control with reduced estrogen degree to eliminate this risk.

I just had my appendix removed on dec 29th it is now jan 2nd and I'm in unbearable pain when I move, bend, lean etc. I have a fever for the 3 days after and chills. I've been nauseous yesterday and today but no fever, but still horrible pain. I'm also feeling a burning sensation on the left side by an incision. Does anyone know if this is normal or am I just being a baby?

I had my apendix removed two days ago, home now but the pain comes and goes in blinding surges and the entire area is inflamed and cherry red about 200mm by 50 mm in a band around the wound, is it normal to have such pain, I am 52 years old so that may have some bearing?

I had my appendix out almost 4 weeks ago. Before I had it out I had this weird stomach pain, in my upper left abdomen, a few times. So the 3rd time I went into emerge because the pain went lower. and they tested me for many things. After they said they thought it was my appendix sothey did surgery. Turns out it was. There was little pain after but now my stomach feels off like I am going to get that weird stomach pain back.. I'm not sure if it could just be from the surgery and it's transferring the pain or if it's something else... I really hope there is nothing wrong..

I had mine 2 weeks ago and have a very sharp stabbing and also feels like needles from the insicion to the left of my belly button and up slightly.. It had me doubled over and crying.. It hurts to stand straight up.. I have lost my appetite.. And it hurts almost as bad as the pain that landing me in this situation in the first place.. I called and they said I probably have over done it.. To rest and if it becomes worse to go to ER.. And I also feel like a baby...so literally,'I feel your pain'!

Does anybody know how long it is normal to have vaginal bleeding after surgery? I had my appendix and my right fallopian tube removed 2 days ago. My bleeding is really bad today and the pain is horrible :( this is also the second surgery I've had in 2 weeks. I had a laproscopy, hysteroscopy, and a D&C done 2 Mondays ago.

I ended up back in the hospital with infection. It doesn't sound to me like you have an infection. It's normal to be sore for awhile. I have found that I am most comfortable with pillows behind me propping me up in a sitting position. Don't lay on your side, it will make it hurt worse.

Hi everyone, i had my appendix removed on march 27th of 2012. As of today april 18th i still have pins and needles pain in the same area after surgery. The sensation comes and goes and i have pain in my lower back on the right side. Could it be that the doctor snipped and left a piece of the infected appendix? or am i just thinking crazy? should i go back too the doctor?

I had my surgery last week friday. I was released on saturday because I did not have enough money to stay until monday. The day after the surgery I noticed some "clear" bleeding from vagina. It is not my period, I know this for a fact. I also got a vaginal infection a couple of hours after surgery. I told the nurses about it, but they just said it could be from my appendix. They did not do anything.
Today is wednesday, 5 days after surgery and the symptoms have not gone away. My bum is actually also itchy now. I see my surgeon next week wednesday to have staples removed.
Should I wait till then, see if symptoms dissapear or should I go see surgeon today and demand answers.
I am so uncomfortable. My incision itches and stabs of pain. Never wanna go thru this again ... EVER!!!
