I too am having the same problems you describe with atenolol. See doc today. Trying apple cider vinegar & apple juice. All these BP meds make me so sick I don't know which is worse. Feel like i'm suffocating. Interesting.....Britain has removed atenolol as a BP treatment.....causes more strokes and heart attacks....going to ace inhibitors or channel blockers??

Yes, I too took several blood pressure lowering tabs. All of them made me feel ill. The last one even put my blood pressure up even more. So that is that, I'm off them. Like one writer wrote, it's better to have a good life and not be made ill by medication. The doc.s do seem intent on pushing us all on to blood pressure tabs. whatever the side effects. I think in years to come they will look back and laugh at the advice given out now about elevated b.p. and something else will take over the doctors attentions.

very high blood pressure is mainly generated by vein constriction pooling ie vein dilation or relaxation; the relaxation of veins are controlled by the central nervous system a. c. e [control enzymes] hormone signals and it has been noticed when adrenalin is not correctly moderated by noradrenalin using a. c. e. signals, note ace signals both may increase blood pressure and also may reduce blood pressure it really depends on the amount of activated noradrenalin and this looks to be corrupted by 'rogue testosterone'and therefore a c e inhibitors very often do not work as would be expected; remedy for blood pressure in general, is a vaccine that prevents rogue testosterone from corrupting noradrenaline;and subsequently angiotensin note; stress lowers immune effeciency and certain organisms attach themselves to testosterone molecules causing mis- cell transcription the degree of which is dependant upon the type of bacteria that has attached itself to testosterone; it seems that a rogue protective gene probably on the spry network. may not be functioning in respect of protein 51 and p53 and is not fuctioning as it should in the testes glandular hormone cells. thus causing rogue testosterone, which is the instigator and go between' of many immune diseases, ie the degree of testosterone coralates to the degree of cell mis-transcription; andrewlangham@yahoo.co.uk

sensible working off of high blood pressure is a good idea normal pressure is 140 over 80 note medical blood pressure so called high blood pressure is totally meaningless unless there is is a clincal reason like kidney disease etc or very erratic blood pressure which is very rare; usually people with chronic heart failure; so dont waste your time measuring it; sensible exercise working off of high blood pressure is a good idea; when exercising blood pressure is often around 300 over 180 so the arteries are well able to take the elevated pressures; most people on blood pressure tablets are actually at further risk of illness as blood pressure drops in the early hours of the morning and many elderly people have strokes because of this, note as some doctors for reasons only known to their own minds think its totally incorrect to wean or take people off blood pressure tablets ever; they need better training andrewlangham@yahoo.co.uk
