My father was a very successful professional with four children and a beautiful wife. He was in and out of treatment more than $ could buy. My dad died at age 38. I'm now married to an alcoholic who has been on camperal to ease the cravings. It does work but you have to have the WANT also. Best of luck, I'm sure you wouldn't want your children to have to visit you at your grave.

A prosecutor really can lawfully charge a former president with murdering one or more people in the disgusting way Bush murdered Schoedinger. The American people unfortunately live in a world where evil presidents can murder any number of people—figuratively—with a wave of a magic wand and get away with it.

I find this interesting. Alot of what he talks about (at least what I have checked out) is the basics of the brain-habits-synapsis etc. We are creatures of habit and not unlike pavlovs dogs.

I also think that it is a very good idea (and of course one that the AA cultists absolutely hate) to teach people how to CONTROL their drinking. How to recognize a problem and before it destroys your life.

AA would hate that-because people would be monitoring their intake/lives and taking proper steps to keep in check. AA only wants people to lose their entire lives and come to them with a easily programmable cult mind!

I would give people advice to do whatever works...and personally recommend anything BUT AA.

AA teaches powerlessness...which will not cure you.

I had been looking into naltrexone for my drinking problem-30-years worth.I had previously tried campral-antabuse-AA-hypnothera py-accupuncture-etc and
none of it helped,I was sometimes free of drink but in the back of my mind was that fear of starting again.I couldnt stop and had resigned myself to a life of getting drunk every day.
Then I came across The sinclair method-which is

The crazy thing about this is that it works,
I took 25mg per day and drank as usual-after one week I cut down on actual alc% not volume.

Whilst continuing with 25mg each day I drank only light beer,still comsuming the same volume though

After only one month my consumption was falling and I was leaving my beer un-drunk for longer periods,I was actually losing interest in alcohol!!
Up to that point I wasnt really sure anything was happening.
6 months later I have no desire to drink,none in the house,no more pubs and being hungover-thanks to this method.This is absolutely fact,I now know I will never drink again because my brain is no longer craving ALC.

I strongly urge anyone with a similar problem to seriously look at this method.

Be warned though,your doc may take some convincing,many are not familiar treatment

The reported success rate with this treatment is very high,have seen 60% somewhere,compare AA-5%

Does anyone know if naltrexone works for crack addiction? Dr Kirsten in Pretoria did an implant for my son, but he is still using.
