Chavez is right, oil is an important and scarce product, the price must be high to avoid it to be wasted by careless people, and the OPEC countries must understand that there is a menace against them by international fascism led by USA.

Towel heads are blowing some american a$$es in Iraq, more than 4.000 dead, 40.000 wounded, thousands maimed, this is deadliest year for american forces there.

Rumors have it (in Venezuela) that what Chavez is really trying to negotiate is to “hire” or “integrate” the FARC (as Mercenaries) into his revolution…

Have anyone else heard that???

actually, the leaders of Saudi Arabia, shot down Cahvez at the OPEC summit...they think he is a bafoon.( he is).
And they think of him as a joke, he is amusing to them...and he needs to remember. they have been in this game alot longer than he has and they are the ones that control the show...not him.

No, any reason is good enough to raise the price of oil. The investors in oil use fear to hike the prices and their profits.

I'd say Chavez is trying to increase the cost of oil, because half of his refinerees are out of order. He's not making the same amount of revenue as he used to, now he can't buy more weapons and distribute petrodolars to other countries.

Sergeant,
He already has Las Farc installed in 4 diffrent towns near the border to Colombia. Uribe sat down with Chavez previous to the Ibero-American meeting they had in Chile and showed him aerial Photographs of the of the 4 diffrent instalations were Las Farc were located. So I don't think he is TRYING to negociate he already has them. The interesting thing is that Spain is claiming that Venezuela gave asylum to 20 or more ETA members.

Since when was Chavez a threat to the US. Just because he doesn't agree with our ways doesn't make him a threat. But I take it that freedom of speech and boundries from certain nations makes you an outcast of somesort.

Did Iraq have anything to do with 9/11 when the fingers were pointed toward men in a cave in Afghan, not Iraq. Though I am glad we found the weapons of mass destruction (sarcasm) and freed Saddam from this hell on earth.

Anyway's we don't need gas, leave your car behind which supposelly is causing our ozone layer to deterriate.

Chavez is not a threat to the US, he is a threat to his own people. The people that elected him.

Chavez is more popular in his own Country than IDIOT BUSH is in the U.S.

I think that oil should $200.00/barrel so we can put a CHOKEHOLD on the GREAT SATAN and the WEST.

The United States (Great Satan) should worry about getting their own house in order first?

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Taurus

Catch up with the chores today, especially if you've got a long list of them and you want to get through them all before Christmas. You're feeling nicely efficient without wanting to work yourself into the ground, so carry on at a steady pace. A few well-chosen words in a certain person's ear will be more effective than a lengthy conversation at other times.
