Mady definitely should be seeing a counselor. Anyone who continually "acts out" needs the opportunity to be able to learn how to deal with her feelings. How truly unhappy this little girl must be.

I don't think Mady needs a counselor she is just trying to get ateention from her parents. What if your parents came home with 6 more kids wouldnt you feel left out? She doesnt need a counselor, she just needs more attention and really i dont think a counselor would do anything. It would be a waste of time and money. She will grow out of it.

I think she needs discipline the only reason she keeps acting up is because she knows there will be no reprecussions. Seems to me that John wants to discipline the kids and Kate has this whatever attitude...maybe thats where Maddy gets her obnoxious behavior from.

kate doesnt have a "whatever" attuide it is usually Jon that is lacking in the discipline area. It is very rare when Jon is disciplining and Kate is like "whatever".

When it comes to Maddy Jon tries to do something with her and Katie is always wanting to ignore the bad behavior.

The Big concern should be the physical abuse she delivers to her siblings and I would imagine soon the new dogs will sufffer at her hands if she isn't watched and her behavior corrected whether by her parents or a third party.

Well when the cameras are on, Mady if she freaks out knows that she will be on t.v. hitting her siblings. She corrects it because she knows it wrong so she doesnt need any help she is a perfectly normal kid. Give her a break!

Jon doesnt always discipline Mady, he usually lets things go. Kate disclipens Mady just as much as Kate.

Hello Pat , Please remember that Mady is still a child ,She may or may not be troubled you nor I are qualified to diagnose her . She may just be looking for attention and doesn't know how to get it in a houselhold as large as the one she lives in .

Mady is a little girl who often acts childish - with good reason - she is a growing child. When you were young weren't you sometimes bratty? Was that behavior analyzed by thousands of people in multiple countries who watched your life for entertainment while commenting on how well adjusted you are or are not to life in front of cameras? Free the Gosslelin 8!

I think that this is a T.V. show so the show is edited to make all the people look a certain way. It wouldn't be a popular show if it just had easy going kids jsut doing what they are told. The need a person who pushes the other way. So my guess is that Mady isn't actually that bad and if she is ten bucks says it's because of all those cameras in the house and the sibiling rivalary. And I also don't think it is our place to judge her. Cause how many of you here would actually say these things to her face? "Mady is a Brat": if you would say that about a little girl whom you have never met then you should take a look at your own personality and/or characteristics.

I think Mady has ADHD. My grandson has it & she has many of the signs that would lead me to having her tested. She is a child and will act out, but some of those ADHD traits do show on her. For her sake, I hope she is tested or a teacher ooints it out to the parents.

Yes, Madie totally she acts like a brat. I doubt that TV show could change her personality that much. She is hurting and pushing other children, complaining about everything, pouting for no reson. Don't you think they all know they have a problematic child? And doing NOTHING about it helps her??

Mady is having problems because of the sextuplets. She is young and is only acting out the way she feels. She isn't getting enough attention and her frustrations are being taken out on the sextuplets. She hits them, kicks them, and screams at them for little of nothing. The fault isn't hers. If Jon and Kate would do half as many special things for Mady and Cara as they do for the sextuplets, maybe Mady wouldn't respond so negatively toward the little ones. I know you're probably wondering why Cara doesn't act up quite as much as Mady. Well, they may be twins but they are still two different people, of course.

its not like they are low on money ... the make 6,000 dollars an episode. Obviously they do not see a problem in her behavior or they would have taken action sooner! i think she was just meant to be and only child

Maybe that's his way of disciplining . I fully agree that Jon handles the little ones roughly. I don't think, however, that it's necessary for him to be as rough as he is. Jon and kate know that Mady does terrible things to the little kids and also speaks to them (the parents} in a derogatory manner - none of which she is punished for. The scarey thing for me was when she asked Kate, "If I take out a pencil and stick someoe, would that be an accident?" Kate and Jon laughed about it later, as they were interviewed for the episode. There's no two ways about it - Mady needs help, fast!
