Well Jan... you were right, and here it is!!
Yea right!

Here was FU's post: quoted text>GOD created adam and eve...not adam and steve to be together in holy matrimony.

Fallacious to say the least! Adam and Eve were never married. What's more, David loved Johnathan more than any woman. Fact!

Now, back to my question. How does allowing gays to marry destroy the institution of marriage?
Because the institution of marriage is soley for one man and one woman. Nothing more. For two men to be married is making a mokery of marriage. It is not designed for two men. Two men will never be able to procreate life together. NEVER!!!

He didn't MAKE you Gay, you CHOSE to be gay. Big difference. Homosexuality is a behavior. There is no conclusive scientific proof that anyone is born as a homosexual. It is a lie told by those who want to practice the sin; nothing more. You are a product of your environment. Can you look back and see what might have triggered your homosexuality? What was your relationship with your father. That is usually where the problem exists. Lack of love by a father. thanks
For centuries there was no proof that there were germs and microbial bacteria, or viruses but that didn't mean they didn't exist. For a similar length of time there was no proof there was such a thing as an atom, but they existed all the same. There is no proof, period, that homosexuaity was brought about by conditions in ones evironment or that, if there were, it had anything to do with a lack of a parternal, male symbol. The fact is that this is a fallacy perpetuated by people who "choose" to think the way you do so that you can call a perfectly natural state for those who are gay to be the product of a sinful mind. I am a Christian and I believe God did create us just as we are and it is those who forget the one supreme rule Jesus preached, that of not judging, who allow themselves to believe differently.

Many straights cannot "procreate together" and marriage doesn't alter that fact. It also doesn't prevent many straights from procreating. So, if there is someone who is making a mockery,(not mokery), of marriage, since it is, in your opinion, neccessary to proceation, it is those who have children out of wedlock who are making a mockery of the institution. And, I asked for something that would explain how that institution would be effected in any way detrimental or otherwise by gays having the right to wed.

Of course no one has ever read this and said, "Wow, I didn't know that!" They just disregard all the authorities on the subject.
You're wasting your time. This kind is of the opinion that gays forced the psychiatric profession to take this stand. I've heard this so often I think they can convinc themselves of anything rather than admit they are simply homophobic and can't accept fact. Before the position was announced by the International Psychiatric Association the same individuals used previous conclusions to verify their stand. If and when facts are presented to prove gays are born gay the same group will simply disavow these as being forced on science by some sort of intimidation by gays.

may i just ask do you recall choosing to be straight? and if you do could you easily just change to being gay? and if it is a choice how do animals know what to choose? i mean there are gay animals you know...just saying the likely hood of your orination being a choice is almost 0...again why would one chose to be so hated? its like saying back when there were slaves "o well he chose to be black"....
I would have to say NO to sex with another woman knowing it is a sexual perversion to God. I have to say NO to any sin, because it all separates me from the protection of God. I have CHOSEN to be a follower of Christ and He is my guide, not my up and down emotions. People don't want to make sacrifices these days; like doing the right thing...but really a sacrifice leads to a good end. Like a sacrifice to get a degree or a mother's or father's sacrifice for their children. I know a friend who was married, loved to be with a man. Then decided after 17 yrs and 3 children one day it looked appealing to be with a woman. Got divorced and now lives with her. Now you can say, she wasn't really gay to begin with, the same way I can say a person was not really a Christian to begin with...what it boils down to is a choice in life. If a person had pedophile, adultery or homosexuality tendancies, but knew it was a sin and kept away from the tempation all their lives and never indulged in the sin; then there lies the choice...to sin or not sin. That is the choice we ALL make. There are all kinds of sin indulgences out there, but the God fearing people don't indulge in them. They keep themselves pure in fear of God's judgment at the end of their lives. I know it might be a lonely life at first to walk away from your sin or something you feel is natural, but in the end God will bring you more people to surround you and more love than you ever knew.
By the way the Bible used the flat earth scenario to signify a plain; not that the earth was actually flat. Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own soul and use your own spirit of thinking instead of someone like Blonde King in an earlier blog stating the world was flat; knowing it was a metaphor. The fool fooling the foolish is what the Bible calls people like him.

I told you. Gays can't procreate together. Even in an infertile man/woman couple...GOD can still create a miracle and the woman can have a baby. Never will that happen with gays. A man can never carry a baby.

This is a silly circular argument. Like saying we shouldn't legalize pot because pot is illegal.
The whole issue is about changing the definition of marriage.
Should post menopausal women be allowed to marry? Forced to divorce? They can't reproduce...

First of all God told those who were hypocrits not to judge. Jesus said to remove the plank from your own eye, so you can see clearly to remove the speck from your neighbors eye...to see clearly is the big message. Those who read the Bible and UNDERSTAND its meaning instead of picking and choosing for their own agenda are the ones who can see clearly the truth. Secondly, our current scientific technology is exceptional and if there was a homosexual gene, they could have clearly found it by now. Just like the germs out there. And new germs are being manifested everyday and our scientists are observing their characteristics. So again, there is no genetic chromosone in gay people that links them together or makes that sexual preference connection. NOTHING! I am sorry if I have offended anyone, but anyone that tells you differently is lying and wants you to indulge in the same sin practice as them to gain comradery. It is not productive to our world to instill rights for sinful behavior. It starts a chain reaction for more sins. Desensitizing.

There were many witnesses who wrote the happenings down in scrolls; the same process we used for centuries to record in our history books. Witnesses that wrote it down, recorded it, so future generations would know the facts. The scrolls are thousands of years old. They were transformed into English so Americans can read the scroll's words. God kept them preserved so no one can be without excuse come judgment day. My big issue is those who claim to be Christians and use wealth, sex and power for their own gain. We all have to stop looking at people like that and using it as an excuse for our own sinful behavior. Pick up a Bible; suggest starting with the New Testament, since after our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and made us knew, His teachings are very powerful and apply more to us today than the Old Testament. Not to discount the Old Testament, but again, after Jesus came, He fulfilled prophesy and made us new. The New Testament is His life and the impact of His love and suffering for us. When He ascended into heaven, He gave us His Holy Spirit to guide us daily if we ask. That will keep us from sinning and being tempted by Satan.

I have educated myself, that is why I can make the statement accurately. There is no biological genetical proof. What you just sent said nothing about that. This is the alarming part. This went to our educators/teachers as well. Please read it yourself.

EDUCATION, HEALTH AND RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS UNITE TO KEEP STUDENTS SAFE

----------

WASHINGTON—A diverse coalition of 13 national organizations has joined in a renewed effort to protect the safety and emotional well-being of students, including those who are at higher risk because of their sexual orientation. The group of education, health, mental health and religious organizations today released "Just the Facts About Sexual Orientation and Youth: A Primer for Principals, Educators, and School Personnel."

The publication serves as a guide for employees who confront sensitive issues involving gay, lesbian and bisexual students. It is intended to help school administrators foster safe and healthy school environments, in which all students can achieve to the best of their ability. "Just the Facts" includes the most recent information from professional health organizations, as well as up-to-date information on the legal responsibility of school officials to protect students from anti-gay harassment. "Just the Facts" has been mailed to all 16,000 public school superintendents in the United States.

The coalition issued the following joint statement:

"The opportunity for students to learn is diminished when they do not feel safe or supported at school. In addition to assault and harassment, gay, lesbian and bisexual students experience high rates of emotional distress, suicide attempts and substance abuse. These factors hinder their emotional and social development, as well as their ability to succeed in school. It is our responsibility to provide accurate and factual information. We believe this publication will be a valuable tool to help educators, administrators and others concerned with caring for America’s students."

Members of the coalition are the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Counseling Association, the American Association of School Administrators, the American Federation of Teachers, the American Psychological Association, the American School Counselor Association, the American School Health Association, the Interfaith Alliance Foundation, the National Association of School Psychologists, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the National Association of Social Workers, the National Education Association and the School Social Work Association of America.

First formed in 1998, the coalition produced the original version of "Just the Facts" to respond to concerns that school personnel were receiving inaccurate information on the issue of sexual orientation. The updated publication reflects the coalition’s continuing concern about the safety and well-being of gay, lesbian and bisexual students.
