This religious fanatic is obviously missing the research that has shown homosexuality to be natural though minority behavior.

What's not natural is people like you who attempt to instill your brand of lifestyle on the rest of the population. You cite the natural act of conceiving children, yet I'll bet that you have had sex with a female partner for anything but procreation. Sex is but one way to love someone. If two people love each other it's their own business how they choose to express it to each other. And just for your information, marriage between two people is supposed to reduce exposure to STD's for both heterosexual and homosexual people.

As the writer has already made up his mind about the 'abnormality' of homosexuality, no amount of education will change him. However, the rest of the educated public knows that homosexuality is determined before birth and is quite natural.

Granted there are those who choose to ignore their own hearts, minds and souls to 'fit' into the world in which they surround themselves, yet learned people have agreed that changing the outward behavior does not change the inside feelings and desires. People are who they are, and feel what they feel. No amount of psychiatric intervention, religious persecution or societal pressure will 'turn' a gay or lesbian person straight anymore than it will turn a straight person gay.

As there are homosexuals in virtually every culture around the world, including the animal kingdom, that tells me what is 'natural' more than what those who refuse to see past their own prejudices see.

Having an education involving psychology, biology, sociology and common sense, the facts remain steadfast...DNA decides who we are and no amount of therapy will change it.

Jack Murphy chooses to be straight rather than follow his desires. That's what I get from his letter.

What's unnatural is me having to subsidize others through their tax breaks and benefit sharing.

What is natural / unnatural? Is homosexuality a choice, is it learned behavior or is it genetic?
Is it nature or nurture?

A friend of mine whom I haven't seen in years is a homosexual. He is a thoughtful, intelligent and very successful guy. Homosexuality doesn't change any of that. He is kind to his elderly parents and if he were my child I would be proud to have him as a son.

If his sexual orientation is a choice, why would he choose to be put down, ostracized and discriminated against?

I believe his sexuality is hard wired somehow, so how can it be un-natural.

Jack: why are you still beating this dead horse, it is o v e r the first decade of this century brought the start of same sex marriage and the second will see it the law of the land and it will happen because federal judges will order it just as they ordered an end to segregation because it is what is the fair and equal, rights they are sworn to uphold. All the members of the RCC and mormans are wasting their time, money and and energy trying to defeat this, they will win a few battles but in the end they will lose just like the segregationest did and in the years ahead they will look like great big fools.
Ther is no such thing as natural law and the greatest spreader of hiv/aids in intrevenious drug use.get your facts in order.
Doma will be a thing of the past by the end of the next congress, and harth is a big joke, those who they clain have cured are really bi-sexuals and nothing more.
Jack, open you mind and let fairness, understanding and acceptence in and let it push ou all the hate, bigotry and hipocricy that is in there.

So long as someone isn't in my face, they have the same right to be happy as I do. Gay or straight.

If my kids were gay, I wouldn't love them any less.

I judge my books by the stories inside, not by the flamboyant cover.

Exactly, it appears to be something they make up as they go along.

It's scary but there are Supreme Court justices that are proponents of "natural law".

Jack Murphy is a broken record with a one track mind, he must spend all his time obsessing about homosexuals, poor dear.

They keep quoting the "natural law" but never say where they come up with it.

So if this theory is true, people that can not have children, or choose not to have children, even though they are heterosexual, should not be allowed to legally marry.

Keep your religious dreck out of my bedroom. Keep your hate out of my politics. Keep your opinion to yourself. No one cares what you think, Jack.
