You know Jay Weaver it wasn't McDonalds telling you to eat the dang fries. Jeeze how stupid are people these days. You people must be pretty deperate when trying to get money off of the crap you eat and drink. ITS YOUR FAULT. JUST DON'T EAT IT. Eat something health. I've eaten McDonalds my whole life and i don't have anything wrong with me. But of course i don't eat it DAILY! Thats just stupid because u know fast food isn't all the good for you. Quit being lazy and cook your own food at home. Ever thought of that?? Prolly not your too stupid.

Well I think you are using that as an excuse because you are to lazy to join a gym and you were probably big to begin with when you were younger so subconsiously you still have the negativity from all your peers built up so you take it out on food and cant admit you have a food disorder..........Ps common sense would tell anybody 37 dollars worth of fries a day will make you fat.. God how come this world is full of idiots?
I can't believe the number of people who did not detect the sarcasm in Jay Weaver's post. He was being facetious, people!

I get tired of hearing about so called lies from corporations. Think about it, what incentive would they have to lie, knowing that they would eventually be caught and sued? It is bad business to cause deliberate harm to people and the big corps know this. I am sure this was an oversight - very serious, but not a lie.
Enron, anyone?

They put addictive flavor enhancers in the happy meals as well, but they aren’t advertising that either. Read the fine print and let the buyer beware!

I was reading a buncha your guys' comments and you make some good points. yes, nobody forced these people to go to mcdonald's or BK or where ever they went, they did that on their own. it was their own choise to put that greasy, fatty food in themselves. i was one of those people once until i got smart about it. having it every once in a while is alright, but not to have it on a daily basis. mcdonalds should warn people about how many calories their food contains more openly like on commercials or something like some other companies do. honestly though i can't see them doing that anytime in the future. all i can say it try not to over do it on the fast food ok?

To all the people who wrote that its our own fault for eating at a fast food restaurant or everyone knows fast food places arent healthy..cook your own food, etc...can u honestly say you've never eaten there? Its nearly impossible to cook at home 100% of the time..for anyone. Especially when we are traveling, etc. Does this mean dont have the right to eat something that doesnt make us physically ill, against our knowledge? The difference with the people who smoke and got sick and sued, or people who ate too much mcdonalds and got fat and sued...is that they NEW the risks going in. Smokers know smoking gives u cancer. Obese people know eating too many calories increases your chance of further gaining weight. But celiac/autistic people werent given the opportunity to make an informed decision. They were told it was OK to consume this particular product. They made the best decision they could with the information they had. Stop blaming the victims.
Of course companies lie..but are we supposed to just accept this as fact and never hold anyone accountable? Where does it end?

I am not defending, nor critizing McDonald's. First off, they have never claimed to be a diet restaurant. Secondly, if wheat is the issue, why go order some? Thirdly, there are plenty of other food entities that cook up some worse calorie-ladened food besides McDonalds. If you are going to criticize McDonalds, you must apply that to all the food industry. No judge should allow McDonalds to be a sole target. It's fast food, and you know what it is. There are Mom and pop greasy spoons that cook far worse, however, they don't have the kind of money coming in that McDonalds' does, do they? How about all the junk and fattening foods on the shelf at the nearest Wal-marts, Kroger or local food store? Let's insist on the food industry as a whole, to change their ways of producing their products. Salt, my God, look at salt. Probably the no.1 killer or helper of heart disease in the world. Nothing said about the amount of sodium in food products. Why always target and complain about McDonalds? Sugar is another....the list goes on and on. McDonalds' should not be putting wheat products into their fries if they said there is none. However, McDonalds' is under no obligation to run down the entire ingredients list everytime someone steps up to the register to order. It's faaaasst food, not snail food. McDonalds' is not obligated to do anymore for its' customers than what the public doesn't demand out of other food sources and entities. Have the ingredients list hanging on the wall as soon as someone comes in, and let them read the ingredients before they step into the ordering line.

I agree with much of what you say. However, why does the public only hold these BIG, MONEY-MAKING entities liable? Why not pick on the local Ma and Pa restaurants also? Let's face it, it's always McDonalds'. I mean, they never claimed to be Weight Watchers. Some people can't resist a hamburger and fries, and then get angry afterwards. They do serve salads there also. If you order the new Asian salad, a free DVD comes with it. Why just the hamburger trip all the time?

I think the reason that people go after McDonalds is that they're almost always the most egregious of bad actors. The local mom&pop shop is less likely to lie to its customers about the ingredients in its food the way McDonalds has.

It is my guess that if we spent more time at home with our families/friends cooking dinner and enjoying each other's company we'd spend less time eating fast food. Not only might we be healthier but we may even have better relationships with our families. Living by an ideology that seems so drastically different from what you would primarily find throughout America could greatly benefit us all, whether you have a strange disorder/disease or not. My advice to all of you (probably the only worthwhile advice in this entire forum) is to go buy a cookbook from another ethnic background, learn something new, stay at home with your family, and stop wasting your time thinking about french fries, money, and big business. Your life is so short and with this type of attitude it's getting shorter. There's more to life than McDonalds, dieting, and using your CAPSLOCK key, for example there's mountain climbing, the Fine Arts, and space travel. I fear that many of you are only living a life of an 1/8 of a educated, well rounded person. Wise up - life is not fair.~Coming from a size six 26 year old American who will cooking a Vietamese dinner for a few friends this evening.
Namaste.

Once again, the majority of Americans are "not" accountable for their actions. It makes me sick how ignorant people are. You should all be ashamed of yourself for whining and complaining about the negative effects McDonald's French fries have caused. News flash jackass the health experts have been saying it for years, stay away from fried fatty foods... mmm sound familiar. In addition, have you ever heard of the word moderation, if not you might want to look it up.

I'm sure if you can access a computer, make a statement then you should be able to read and make a decision. You made a decision to voice your opinion, I suggest you make the decision to use better judgment and not be some stupid.
