Thanks for the definition we're already well aware of. What else is new?

That is not the issue (to me). The issue is they misrepresented the ingredients of there product. That is a crime (in the US at least). They should be punished - CRIMINALLY. False advertising, misrepresentation, fraud, consumer endangerment. |

This discussion has been going on for 15 pages. We've certainly established what Celiac disease is. |

Topix is worldwide. The world is very big. i still believe not everyone in this world know what a Celiac disease is. i believe some people in this world need some detailed explanation. if you don't need my explanation, well, no problem. i am only intending my explanation to those who can not grasp the meaning of Celiac disease right away. ok ? |

the same kind of people who bitch about french fire ingrediants being unhealthy ..smoke dope ...smoke cigarettes....drink alcohol.
the health nazis are causing our favorite foods to become tasteless.. i tried some mcdonalds fries the other day after years without them...blooooooooooorch! tasteless shit! first the vegetarians bitched about the use of beef tallow in the fries.....then the health nazis had a go at the world famous fries by removing more flavor.... |

What? The only thing that has "changed" about the fries is that they're fried in vegetable oil instead of the beef shortening now. It's not a big change, but yes, it's a bit of a difference.

I just stumbled upon this thread while browsing about celiacs as I may have it. I just think the responses here are hilarious.
I keep seeing comments putting blame on overweight people about this issue. They are just completely missing the point. The people are suing because they were obviously lied to (not just by kids that work at mcdonalds, but by the website that announced their fries were gluten free) and because of this lie, their body was further damaged because of their disease. If a person with celiacs disease consumed even the slightest amount of gluten, their body WILL be damaged. Depending on how long the person was gluten-free before consuming the fries, the aftermath could be very painful ranging from migraines to depression. Again blaming this issue on obese people is plain stupid considering many people with this disease are underweight. |
