Bill Would Ban Smoking with Minor in Car

Lets fix the real problem first, before penalizing without knowing the full story. Since before the 40's, there was only approx. 50 foreign chemicals in the human body, even less in the air we breathed. The incident of lung cancers and all the rest did not start going up until more foreign chemicals saturated the human body and the air we breathe. The human body now has 350 or more foreign chemicals in it. Many of these we breathe in from the air.#1. Get rid of the chemicals in the air we breathe.#2. Get rid of the additives to tobacco, quit using synthetic chemicals in the growing of tobacco. Then, and only then will we know the truth about tobacco and secondhand smoke. I find it quite ignorant to fine a parent driving with their window open, smoking, when perfume is banned from doctor's offices, gyms, even hospitals because it causes anaphylactic shock, asthma attacks, hives, headaches, and a variety of other symptoms.. while the scent of tobacco causes little more than a wrinkling of the nose, to those who don't care for the smell. Shall we also ban the wearing of perfume in cars with minors?

I am not the one helping to destroy this country , you are. Smoking bans and the high taxes are against the constitution and what used to be our form of government. Smoking bans cause hate, crime, loss of business. loss of jobs, loss of property rights, letting kids buy tobacco with no ID or age limit, more bans and high taxes on other legal products. Just to name a few.

Sure it does into other cars, houses, business, etc. All 25 million smokers can not put out what one car does. 38 million cars make a lot of cancer causing pollution.

I noticed you did not address the type of government we used to have or any thing about the constitution or the history.

White trash? Interesting judgement coming from a person who doesn't have the intellect to do more than just believe one side of the story. Right now the big, politically correct idea is to demonize anyone who questions the validity of anti-smoking propaganda. Do YOU even know how bad the air is INSIDE your own home? Or most homes? If you truly research all sides, and not just the drivel being force fed to you, and look at the whole story, you'll find yourself questioning why the government, American Lung Society, and the big pharmaceutical companies are pushing this whole anti-smoking business. Perhaps because no one wants to admit just how bad our air is. Its not in the State nor Federal governments interest to penalize manufacturing, coal/electric plants, nor the filth dumped into our waters by pharmaceuticals, which is brought back up into the air due to natural evaporation and weather cycles.
I could go on, but if you research you'll find out yourself.

Its easier to shift blame and use subterfuge to calm the American and World's people. If we can blame it all or mostly on smoking and the Tobacco lobby, we don't have worry. Stop them and all will be well, right? No, its not right or correct in any way at all. Its simply a dodge to soothe everyone's fears and concerns, rather than actually find out the real culprits and solve the problem. Pretending like this just allows those in power to drag out the problem longer, creating more sickness and deaths along the way.

A couple interesting facts. Did you know that sage and frankincense kill bacteria in the air? Tobacco is antibacterial and antifungal as well, if I remember correctly. I wonder if it also kills stuff in the air? Do you think anyone will pay for a study on this? No. It would be heresy.(And really, if big tobacco did a study on this, would you believe it? I'm not sure I would, and I do smoke, and would like to see a positive for tobacco.)

Britney Spears? Get real. I have no use for that sad sack, let alone her music. But it seems she must interest you. Maybe you should stop watching videos, TMZ, and reading scandal rags, and start improving your mind instead? Perhaps then you might understand the whole story, instead of what is fed to you by TV?

Have you ever had construction done on the road in front of your house? Ever see the thivk black smoke that comes from the exhaust pipes on those trucks? It maybe outside but it makes my whole house stink of exhaust and that is with the windows closed.
And yes they are trying to ban smoking outside as well. City Parks, Side walks, and so on.
Maybe his argument is more relavent than you would care to admit.
