My guess is that they never took into account that when the fridge is not opened all weekend it can tend to get much colder. When our kids moved out the first time we had to raise the temp to keep the stuff in the bottom and back from freezing. The fridge was not being opened as often with only two of us there so it tended to get a bit colder. A small sacrifice to have them back home again, even accompanied by their six cats and a dog.

I get nailed paying $120/month health care BCBS, and get hit with this:$20 copay Friday pediatrician for the cough and sniffles (free AZT Rx),$20 copay Monday pediatrician (pink eye),$20 copay for the meds($$$), lose $35 for missed daycare, and a day's pay for my wife.
I all for health care reform, or even better an access card :>))))))
