Is this America? Are casinos privately owned or so-called public areas? If casinos want to accommodate smokers a/o non-smokers that should be their choice. We are not forced to enter or work at these establishments. Whatever happened to free choice in this country? Looks like a few trips out to Vegas are in order if they ban smoking areas in Atlantic City.

Look what happened in Delaware, 450 employees laid off at three slot parlors and revenue was off 30%. Governor Minner would not even allow separate buildings for slot smoking areas! AND she's a so-called Liberal!

I'm not sure if it extends to casinos though.

This is America. Smokers rights have been taken away! Now Casino workers want to take it all away from us! They should abide by their workplace rules and not try to change them!! The only change they should make is a different job. Atlantic City casinos spent millions of dollars to upgrade their casinos and make it a place to visit and enjoy. These casino workers don't care if half the people do not go there anymore. If we stop going, they just might be out of a job. Casinos will lose money! How selfish of these people!!! Imagine if you were to tell your workplace what rules they should have? There is a rear-end for every chair--That chair shall be filled if a worker does not abide by the rules.

It's not the casino workers, it is the tobacco control cartel AND now the bar and restaurant owners who are losing business and don't think it is fair that casinos aren't too.

Casinos, like all industries, are required to protect their workers from job-related health risks. Ever hear of OSHA?
the minority smokes. You talk about freedom. What about the right to clean, healthy air, for everyone.

Can't wait for them to ban smoking in the casinos. It is long overdue - it is absolutely disgusting when you come home and find all of your clothes stink of tobacco smoke - who pays for the cleaning of these clothes? Certainly not the smokers.
What about NON-SMOKERS RIGHTS? And, while they are at it, smokers should pay a much higher health insurance premium.

All the workers in the casinos knew there will be smoking in the casinos and bars when they where hired. Why did they take on a job in the casinos if smoking bothered them? The casinos are privately owned and if these workers have to get laid off due to lack of revenue it will be the casinos choice. Better yet, the casinos can close their doors. The CEOs of these casinos are business people. Money talks... BS walks.
