Mingo ready to give swine flu shots

Hey people, you better think twice before running down and lining up like cattle to the slaughter for this vaccine. This is just another way the government is down sizing the population, by killing off a bunch of people with their toxic shots. There is no swine flu, it's just the regular flu like every other year. If you check out the deaths every year from the regular flu, you will be shocked to find out how many people die of the flu every year. Now they are using those death totals to say it's from the swine flu. It is just another scare tactic that our Gestapo government came up with to make unsuspecting people line up and beg for their poison. After all, who would even bother to take their poison if they weren't being scared into it? Every time they need to get rid of lots of people they come up with another "pandemic". The government has sure learned to love this word. If you are smart you would be checking out the ingredients of this vaccine on the internet before you run down and let them inject you with toxic chemicals, and I do mean TOXIC. This whole scenario reminds me of Jonesboro years ago, when people lined up and willingly took the poison that their LEADER gave them. Freedom is just another word that doesn't mean anything anymore, because we have none.

Oh and by the way, I wonder how many of these people died AFTER they got their swine flu shots? I think if it were investigated properly, it would show that more people are dying after taking the vaccine than normal deaths per year from the flu itself.

Well obviously you people don't read very often, because the facts are all over the net by different Drs and researchers showing what's in the vaccines. And if you did take the time to read them, you would know that this is the same old BS they pulled back in 1976 with a big "swine flu" pandemic. And the people who took the shots back then ended up being paralyzed and dying. Plus the fact that during the Gulf War they gave our soldiers over there the same vaccinations as they are giving people now, and they ended up coming home with the Gulf War Syndrome from them. But as I said you must not read much or you would know something about what they are shooting into you.

For me, it's not so much a conspiracy theory that keeps me from getting the shot. It has nothing to do with Obama or any of that junk. And look at things like Vioxx - we were told for ages that it was safe and effective, and it turns out to have been killing more people than it was helping. The H1N1 shot hasn't been out long enough to do adequate testing with long term studies for me to deem it safe enough to take. And seeing as how we are past the peak of the flu season, I see no reason to fear it as much as a lot of other people seem to. To me, all this hype over the flu is just that - hype. When I was a kid, there wasn't all this junk about the flu being so serious. We got the flu, we rested, drank lots of liquids and got a vacation from school. Sure we felt pretty crappy, but it does happen. I'm just not that worried, at least not worried enough to make myself a guinea pig for a drug company.

But if people want to get the shot, more power to them. I just don't feel secure enough in the FDA's approval system to take much of ANYTHING they say is safe.

Of course there haven't been long term studies on a vaccine to combat this strain of flu as it's is new. I don't know what you would expect the medical world to do when as a long term study would hardly do anyone any good.

The Vioxx example you state is slightly different, in that the product was being offered for retail sale. The problem with Vioxx was with the fudging of studies conducted by it's maker Merck by its marketing arm.

No, we aren't past the peak of flu season, though it does vary from year to year, Feburary is usually the peak. Just FYI:

This is no different than regular flu, but people die from regular flu as well, every year. The point is, some people are more likely to suffer and perhaps die than others, those people should get the shot.

Well, every disease has been new at some point, and there wasn't any real rush to get a drug or vaccine out to combat it like there has been with this. I just don't want to take it with the assumption that it's safe and then 10 years down the line they release info saying that it causes cancer or anything like that. I'm probably being overly cautious, but I'd rather err on the side of caution when it comes to something like a flu shot. And as for Vioxx, the situation may have been slightly different, but the FDA approved it for human use, and then pulled it because of the higher incidence of death that coincided with use, so it's still in the same ball park for me regarding the FDA's shoddy approval procedures.

Every disease isn't as communicable as a flu.

I've heard it said that older people may have a better chance than the younger one, as this H1N1 is similar to a strain that was seen years ago, though I haven't tried to look that up.

Those are the same procedures that have been in place for quite some time. The FDA doesn't actually do any testing, they rely on manufacturers to submit test and studies which they review. I found this which should help you understand their role:
