Poop is created by every creature on earth and is going on around us continually. You have creatures you can't see with out a microscope living on your skin. Their there and their pooping.
What your point or problem ?

I think I know who this woman is and, yes, she did have asthma. She was a spectacular woman and her passing is a tragedy.

I'm applaud at the media and the doctors. Doctors were to confirm this on Friday 7/10 and speak to the family. It's in the news, it's in the paper. What happen to privacy, doesn't the family have the right to know first. What about the people that she came in contact with? How do you explain to them what you don't know or aren't told. Don't people know what the right thing to do is.. What's the world coming to, people have no respect. It is tragic my sympathy to my brother and her daughter.

"Dominican Hospital offers its thoughts and prayers to the family in this time of loss," the hospital's spokesman, Mike Lee, said.."

"Offers it's thoughts"? Huh? I hope that was transcribed incorrectly.

Five out of just 15 post censored! Some twisted person must have posted early and often.

I am sorry for the woman who passed away from swine flu, I am appalled that the company "Granite Construction" to which this woman was employed is not releasing the information to current employees.

Me Too; I'm appalled that a public company like "Graite" doesn't release information like that to their employees; Very Very Wrong!

A hospital is a thing, so the thought belongs to "it". If it were a person, it would be "her/his/their thoughts". It's the prayer that doesn't belong to the hospital, as hospitals don't pray, people do. Or don't, as the case may be.

And no, it's not "Offers it's thoughts" as there is no apostrophe in this use of its. "Offers its thoughts" is correct.

Aren't you glad the grammar police work overtime? ;-)

Oh, good lord...I wasn't criticizing grammar. Why don't you try thinking through something before you post a snarky comment? The expression of good will this hospital flack was reaching for (and completely missed) is "Our thoughts are with the family", etc. To say "Dominican offers its thoughts..." means NOTHING.

Find someone else to play with, SCP.

Huh. Not sure who that is above, but it's not me.

I misunderstood your concern. I still don't get it, to be honest. But it doesn't matter. Sorry I posted as Grammar Police. You're right, it's trivial when one's health is the concern.

I'm not sure it's Granite's responsibility or that it even would be legal for them to release information. There are laws about medical privacy. Google HIPAA.

What possible good would come from releasing this information to employees? By the time the woman's employer learned that she had H1N1, several days would have past since she was last at work. It would be too late for any exposed co-workers to benefit from Tamiflu or other prophylaxis. Either they got sick or they didn't. Telling people they might have been exposed would only produce a rash of psychosomatic illness and incite the kind of paranoia you displayed in your post.

How about a workplace where the executives are open and honest? How about a place where they say what they know when they know it? You miss the point entirely. Granite executives are a bunch of hypocrites.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Scorpio

Something about your personality or appearance is drawing a lot of attention today, Scorpio. People insist on watching when you'd rather that they minded their own business. Your stubborn streak at a time when flexibility would be easier. Be kind to those with long memories, especially if you think you might run into them again at some point in your life. If you can't think of anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
