The more smoking bans, the better! I have seen my grandchildren suffer bronchitis, sinus infections, ear infections, having to have tonsils removed, etc. all because their parents, other grandparents, and others smoke in their homes and cars around these children after their pediatrician has told them to STOP SMOKING AROUND YOUR CHILDREN! If I wasn't so concerned already about the Obama takeover, I would be in favor of parents being held legally accountable for smoking in their homes and cars when they have children. That is an act of CHILD ABUSE!

Why do you want to spread these lies.
There is NO PROOF of your allegations.

I have breathing problems and if I get in smoke it really takes my breath but, when people smoke in stores like walmart it doesn't bother me because I don't walk through it. I have never smoked and I don't believe in being a health nazi and trying to tell everyone else what they can do. I have been to Reno's many times with people smoking and it didn't bother me because it is very open. So, I don't agree with a smoking ban in Prestonsburg.

i think its a good idea but they should leave the bingo halls out of it. They raise money for the area sports programs.

This is a really good idea.
I hope they go through with it.
And also exempting Bingo Halls is ridiculous. Their a main target, and a main area of health risk. Im sure the Football Team can find a bazillion other ways to get funds. I do support them completly. But saving lives go way farther!

It has been proven that second hand smoke is more dangerous than smoking a cigarette. I don't think the nonsmokers should have to suffer the consequences of someone elses habits. I have chronic asthma, and I have had to go to the ER and was later admitted to the hospital because I was exposed to someone elses second hand smoke. I definitely think that there should be a smoking ban in public places.

Can you show this proof?

There are 1000,s of thing that can trigger asthma,
If smoking disappeared today an asthmatic would still suffer attack regularly. And how does a smoker "kill" themselfs? By breathing? You may be right there but that would also include nonsmokers as there are more toxins in the air we all breath everyday that are far more dangerous then smoking.(that's why asthmatics would still suffer without cigerette smoke around) You want to avoid asthma "triggers" i suggest you stay in your own home with the windows and doors sealed.
And that would not work either unless you spent 10,s of thousands on air filters and purifiers.

Smoking kills and thats a fact!I have seen plenty people in my family die slow painful deaths because of smoking I also happen to know a 30yo that has emphysema from smoking also a ton of people with COPD caused by YES! you guessed it smoking.Of course no one likes to be told what to do with their own lives"I get it".Untlil you see someone fight thru cancer you will never understand. When you or someone you love has to hear these words"Im sorry you have cancer, emphysema or COPD" you will understand but it will be too late.Of course people die everyday a ton from cancers but this can be avoided so why not avoid it? I know its hard to quit Ive seen people struggle and it usually takes a major wake-up call to quit but then its to late the damage is done.I know what its like to have breathing problems "asthma" I take my meds everyday or I cant breathe.I get angry at myself because I can't do what everyone else can It suxs I have to remember to take my inhaler EVERYWHERE and it suxs when I have an attack and I just hope the med will work like its suppose to.Then I get angry at all these people who "intentionally" harmm their healthy lungs I wonder why would anyone do that!I would love to be able to say I have healthy lungs what I wouldnt give to be able to run without wheezing and to be free from an inhaler. You smokers are lucky u just dont see it yet but you will when your health is gone how blessed you were untill you threw it away on a habit.Quit while your ahead its never to late.

Smokers are fuming? Great if I had my way every smoker that smoked in public for others to breath the stench would be shot like a dog. These crybabies complain about the taxes when they have to go into a hospital at the expense of others to treat the disease caused by their smoking. Line em all up against the wall and shoot them all and we can stop this smoking epidemic because the gutless pukes havent got the desire or the will power to stop and if they don't like it thats just great now we need to find some more things they dont like like banning all liquor in bars and restaurants..

I am sorry you have to worry about your Lung and breathing problems, that truly must be terrible to have to worry about it all the time.
here,s where we disagree, It,s a fact smoking does not "kill", The fact is Cancer, heart decease, COPD, And many other health issues kill.
That is fact. Smoking/SHS can cause cancer, heart decease etc. But it is also fact that those same illness,s are hereditary. If cancer is in ones family line chances are good they will suffer from cancer aswell, smoking or not. We all make our own choices on the lifestyle we choose,
Healthy or not. it is not for others to choose for us. Smoking is a individual choice, some choose to smoke while others choose not to. A non smoker is no more smarter and a smoker is no more dumber. I do sympothize with you that you have to deal with an asthma problem. And i understand your thoughts. I do wish you the best.

And you have "Keep America Free" Telling people how to live their lives is not being free. Sooner or later we'll have people telling us what we can eat and can't eat, how much we can eat, what we can say and not say to our kids, etc, etc, etc. It's already to the point that hardly anybody goes anywhere anymore. Smokers are cut off from the world.

I know of many, many children who have had everything you mentioned and they lived in a smoke-free home. We're getting to the point of everybody telling everybody how to live and we keep losing more and more of our freedoms. This is not a free country any longer because of uptight people like you.
