Hiring ban on smokers being considered

Who wants to work beside or around stinky smokers? Who wants to look at their brown fingers and teeth? Who wants to talk to people with holes in their throats?

This is a much deeper issue than banning the hiring of smokers... On any law they make they want you to believe that it is in your best interest. This is all about controlling our lives a little at a time and when people wake-up it will be too late. Liberty and freedom is for the most part a thing of the past. Our grand children will never know what real liberty and freedom is. They will just think this is the way it's suppose to be, a country of laws.

US Federal Government is corrupt and out of order and is a legalized mafia. I am a purple heart vietnam veteran and I sense a smell of nazism/communism rule that will come to ALL of the Land of the Free (even non-smokers... WOW!)... The USA will be run very similar to Nazi Germany within 5 years and the coming president may very well be our last US president. Yep, one world government is on its way! There is only one way to stop this nazism/communism rule and it's NOT at the voting poles, which 80% of the voters are brainwashed by the media and federal government. They know if you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it... He who has an ear, let him hear.

VV ...... You are not alone with the thoughts of your post as many are of the same opinon with slight variations. We need better and more pinpointed descriptors of the people we call THEY. It is becoming more and more prominate every day because of the "THEYS", people can not look one another in the eye, and accept people the way they are, feeling the need to mould them into a duplicate image of themselves. I am sure you are one who can say thanks to the Lord that's the way he made me and looking back say I would never change it for anything. It takes guts these days to live your own life the way you want it to be, and not someone elses idea of who you could never be, a real Freedom and living the Constitution for whom it was intended.

If we don't give them jobs they will die and make the world a better place. Why don't they grow tobacco or work for cancer stick makers.

I can not understand why a non-smoker would not would not wear a gas mask when their top Nanny tells them 500,000 of them die yearly from SHS.
There is every possibility a non-smoking poster on these boards will die before years end if they do not wear one. They will not be around to get a job anyway.Com e on non smoker at least try before you fall off the wagon.

Right on, obesity causes more health problems than smoking. Don't worry overweight people will be next. Then who after that?

Most companies prohibit smoking now, except perhaps for some bars. What people do in ther personal time should not be an employer's business, as long as it isn't illegal.

Just personally how many people do you know died of SHS ? How many of them came to YOUR definition of a right conclusion and confided in you that they were dying of SHS. I might conceed that a few very rare cases could exist maybe you could explain them ? The anti-smoker breed quoted numbers of SHS deaths is anywhere from 50,000 to 500,000 depending if they got their last paycheque. You might also explain that automobile exhaust as well as many other gaseous components existing in air have poisonuos gases ect yet you have avoided them all.
