You should practice what you preach, It was you who called smokers (that includes myself, your father, and others on the forum) stupid, we smell, we are dumb, etc. And i did not attack your family ( reread the post) everything i said was directed at you and only you. You are welcome to prove and show any post where i attacked your family. And i see by reading this forum and a few others you are still calling people those names. so if you like to debate the health effects on smoking or the ban in a civil manor i would be more then happy too. If you continue to call people stupid or other names because they choose to smoke and you choose not to then please dont waste my time. You are no smarter or any less stupid then any one on these forums ( well maybe smarter then two anyway) Choice is yours.
I will chill out on you ok?But anybody else on here that persists on attacking me as a person will get an earful.Sometimes people do go too far on here and i admit that. But when someone calls me a fatass and i have sex with my dog they will see my unladylike side.I can say one thing about you,you never lowered yourself and talked like that to me.We're all guilty of hurting people on here and noone on here can deny that.I hope you have a nice weekend and i'm not this creature that certain people portray me as.

As stated, I can not deny the harms of smoking, yes it is a foul habit and not only is it harmful to me it does offend others. I do try to be conscious of this. Some on here seem to have a real passion about not smoking, having passion about anything is awesome, however being closed minded and having tunnel vision does not help anybody. The original subject of this thread is a tax. People don't seem to or want to grasp what this tax means or where it will lead.
Al Gore took the lead on "global warming", we should all drive a Prius! People don't realize that from inception of a Prius to the junk yard is more expensive and detrimental to the environment than a Hummer! Some big shot politician told them some (unknown) scientist said these vehicles were better and so they take him at his word without any research.
Soon (and there is already talk of it) there will be a big tax on soft drinks etc..
Red meat is bad for you yet I guarantee the majority of the non-smokers eat red meat.
Christ I hope I am making sense
Taxes are nothing new, neither are taxes on a specific item. I really can't think of anything that isn't taxed.

You'll have to show me how, but as of late you have not been answering my questions.
You have yet to name some businesses that have been forced to close by smoking bans.
Sorry I can't name any, may be due to the fact it would NEVER be reported that a business had to close due to lost revenue because of the smoking ban. If the government wants to ban smoking in "GOVERNMENT" buildings, that's great, but they should not be able to tell me I can not allow smoking in my bar or restaurant or office! If an establishment allows smoking non smokers don't need to give it their business, plain and simple! Just because I don't eat red meat does not mean that McDonald's must sell veggie burgers if they don't want to. I will find a place that does.......

That isn't what's happening here. The government can not tell you what to do with your property.

Now, once you choose to make your property into a business you do have to follow a host of laws. But again, you choose to follow these laws, which only apply to some businesses.

I agree smoking is not the best thing one can do for themselfs But is still a choice people are free to make, When i am out a about i try to be respectful to others around me, but it also depends on how respectful they are to me IE: If i am in one spot smoking and someone comes into my area while im smoking and politly asks me if i would put it out i always do. If they are rude and sarcastic about it i will not and light another just for te point. At my place I have yet to have one complaint about smoking. And thats where i have a issue with the ban, I can not choose to allow smoking or not. Because some non smokers claim they "dont want to have to smell it". when they are free to pass my place and go to one the does not allow smoking. It is not only the tax,s but the matter of the government mandateing our life style and our choices because of a few people who seem to like it when others are prevented from making choices they may not like. You are correct, it will not stop there they will implement more bans, tax,s and other types of "behaiver control" on us and the people who champion the ban now will feel the effects. It is just a matter of time. once they start seeing things they do are taxed or banned they will start complaining. It,s easy to agree with something like a ban when it dont effect you. Your also right, they have started on fatty foods, pop, and other less"healthy" things10 yrs. down the line you,ll see it alot more.

If you & Jethro paid your rent, you wouldn't have to live at "Tent City". Or as you say, "camping".
Be sure to wash out your tip jar, & press the monkey's little suit for your fiddle show down at the out house. Adios hag

Idiot,Cheddars is not a food stand. It's a sitdown restaurant with an excellant array of food to dine on.Obviously you dont get out much seeing you probably have a limited english vocabulary.

"once you choose to make your property into a business you do have to follow a host of laws"!

Sure I can see I must abide by the fact that I can't have rats running around or whatever and my building must meet certain code standards for safety, but the government should NOT be able to tell me if I can allow smoking or that I MUST sell a certain type of food or whatever! DAMN

Daily Horoscope for November 30

Pisces

Try to improve your health by incorporating good habits into your daily routine; if you sit at a desk all day long, find ways to stretch your muscles while you are seated. Since the December holidays are almost upon us, it is a good idea to increase your consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables. Before you know it, you will be tempted to eat nothing but rich, fat-laden foods; set some good habits now before you no longer fit into your holiday outfits.
