Iraq was a good idea badly implemented. The so-called lies were the bullet points best suited to sell the idea. We did screw the pooch on the methods used in trying to achieve that but trying was absolutely necessary. No one died for the wrong idea or a lie, they died because of human shortcomings in political/military management and middle-eastern psychopaths who weren't even Iraqis.

Biden applied for 5 deferments,just like Cheney,to stay out of active duty,and Obama never even registered for the draft.
American and forigen lives lost no longer dominate the front pages of the printed media and the MSM no longer runs American flag draped caskets on a 24-7 loop.
What changed?
Obama said American troops were firebombing villages arbitrarialy killing women and children while campaigning.
Now he has added over 20,000 troops to do more of the same.

I was AGAINST the war in Iraq but, I am as proud as I can be of the way that the US military handled themselves under the most unbearable conditions.All of us owe them a debt of gratitude and our respect If there is any lesson this country learned from Vietnam, it is to respect those who wear the uniform for the United States of America.
The lesson we apparently did NOT learn was that we should NEVER engage in a war without using overwhelming force and having and following a clear exit strategy.

Hindsight is always 20/20. S. viet nam was about to be enslaved by the commies up north and The soviet union had avowed to conquer the world with communism. The aftermath shows what would have only happened sooner if we hadn't intervened.
