You can also go to Manhattan right now and ride public transportation, but you may have to stop for armed police so they can search your backpack first. It's happened to me twice. That's considered an illegal search as well. These are the exact things the 4th amendment protects us against.
NYC Republican convention, peaceful protests stopped 5 minutes after they began. Arrests made.

I can offer more. I can get as specific as you want. We can go over Drug check points, seizure of property without warrant. There are cases upon cases of constitutional violations. But please, please, keep your guns. You know, in case the government tries to take your rights away.
