The Judge and attorney should be held more accountable for their actions than the average citizen. They both took an oath, especially the Judge, to uphold the law and to be unbias, not to cover-up his attorney friend drug problems. I know this judge has sent people to prison over pot. Who knows what else and how much really the Judge covered up. Take him off his pedestal, and jerk both of their law license, after that let them spend some quality time in prison !!! Does the FBI know about what our officals are doing down here , or do they even care ?

When our own newspaper will not even write the article, you think one person that is at least saying something, in hopes that someone will do some much needed research on our Judge, I say Bravo to that person, yes we would like to know the name or names of the person, but if our newspaper will not cover the story, and for reasons unknown, how do we expect this one person to come forward. This all has to be bigger than all of us. How did the judge seal the attorneys record so fast. This happened on a Friday and was sealed before Monday. It seems as if there is more people at the courthouse that knows what kind of corruption is going on. This communitty needs to ban together and try to figure out what do we do now. Will any of the Judges cases be overturned, is he still on the bench residing over open cases? How do we get him off of the bench, what happens to the attorney now, what abut accusations of DUI's from workers at the clerks office being covered up? Do we not have anyone to ask these questions? Why do they think they should not be punished, they should be held to higher standards, this should not be swept under the rug.

I meant to say the issue is it is not legal, and we have a dirty Judge in our town.

Never smoked dope and am not in favor of legalizing another way to ruin your health and impact your judgement BUT if enough of you feel strongly enough get it on the ballot and put it to a vote. Let the people decide the issue not some judge or the media. Doubt if it would pass in Portsmouth but who knows?

His to ticket and license suspension would have been nothing. He probably caused more damage by getting greedy and trying to cover it up.
What really fcked them is the hypocrisy that they rule with , how dare they prosecute the rest of us in any different manner than they prosecute them selves . I believe the old saying has to do with making a bed :)

This isn't about legalization.
No one wants that.
Kegley dismissed one of my 18 cases, and acquitted another, and I'm poor, so this has nothing to do with money at all. He's just a judge that sympathies with the weed smokers, no conspiracy here.
Now I'll tell ya what has me curious. I'd like to know who's doing this smear campaign. Is it some other judge hoping to get elected?
I'm pretty sure that I've heard some amazing illegalities concerning other officials in our city. For instance, who was the lawyer that was found with counterfeiting plates in his home?...the person who broke into the house told me, and why would they lie? Did anyone else ever hear anything like this?

It's no secret and anyone with common sense can figure this out, that most attorneys that can't make money as a private attorney run for public office. Mike Jones could not pay his bills as he had very few clients and cases so he ran for city prosecutor which pays very well and also provides many perks, such as paying his malpractice insurance full health insurance for him and his family. Plus he does some legal work on the side, watch him run for municipal judge against the one he called the news paper about, he's starting his campaign by using smear tactics to get a head start on the next election against Kegley for municipal judge. Mike Jones is the same one that defaulted on his loan on the Crispy Cream Donut Shop which is now closed and for sale.
Do you think this will help him get elected as Judge ?

I do not know if this will help him or not, but at least someone was honest enough to let us know that our current Judge is corrupt. I hate to see that the Donut Shop closed. Alot of people are facing hard times right now, maybe he just did not have enough business to keep it open, but hopefully no one will have to run against Kegley, hopefully he will be thrown out of office.

I heard Kegley was working with another Judge in the courthouse, and we will all be shocked to find out what else has been covered up. What is really going on here. Someone knows, but we all deserve to know. Do we have to read about this in the Columbus Dispatch also.

It seems people think that Kegley is the only one in town that's ever done something like this. It's completely up to a judge's discretion what he does with the cases in his court. So, yes, I guess this smear campaign is going to help Jones should he decide to run for election. I wonder if the mudslinging on Donini will help the wanna be sheriff?

If it all happened on a Friday night and was sealed by Monday morning, did it go to court. What did Donini do I thought he was a good sheriff?
