Maximized living is but one cult like organization within the chiropractic enterprise. Anything goes in chiropractic ... anything.

The chiropractic field needs to be investigated and the chiropractic enterprise needs to be shut down.

Maximized living is but one cult like organization within the chiropractic enterprise. Maximized living and similar thinking chiropractors make up the majority of chiropractors. The entire field needs to be weeded out. Anything goes in chiropractic ... anything.

The chiropractic field needs to be investigated and the chiropractic enterprise needs to be shut down.

By the way, wisdom, the above poster, called ALL nurses 'quacks' at least eleven times last week? Good lord. Why??

Anyway, back to the topic.
I too do not agree with these Maximized Living chiropractors. They're a stain on a great profession. You don't have to talk people into long term care when maybe only one visit will do. That's how effective chiropractic is. My goal with each patient is to get them better as quickly as possible and as cost efficient for the patient as possible. Like many chiropractors, I will even treat people for free if they can't afford it. And at my office, if a patient isn't satisfied with the treatment or does not get better, they don't pay. Even if they offer to pay, I won't accept it if I think they didn't get their money's worth. Again, lots of chiropractors feel this way, not just me.
I also don't agree with MD scammers like the allergy MD mentioned here:(It takes medical boards YEARS and YEARS to finally do something about scammers like this. Why??? I think I know. Shhhh don't tell on them and they won't tell on you.

Yup, they are a scam. High pressure sales with everyone getting the same treatment. They will have you coming in for so many visits, just like everyone else. Need it or not.... They are all about numbers and people in and people out.

You've got it Jim. I've seen these quacks in action. Going from room to room, giving everyone almost exactly the same "rack and crack". Scaring people into long term care by using their "doctor" titles.

These scam artists belong in jail.

the truth is getting out. Innocent people being fleeced.

The chiropractic diaper needs to be emptied.

Jim, as a chiropractor I don't like 'Maximized Living' either. It's OK to disagree with yoru colleagues. Just like a lot of MD's don't like fraudulent MD's who bleed unsuspecting parents of autistic patients out of their life savings by selling them bogus, unscientific treatments.(Google Massachussetts doctor and autism, you'll see what I'm talking about).
Wisdom lies all the time. He copies and pastes from the cult site 'chirotalk', a cesspool chock-full of of losers who blame others for their failures. Wisdom wallows in it, like a pig in slop, since wisdom is the most pathetic loser there. It's the 'ol 'misery loves company' syndrome.
To show the depth of wisdom's depravity, he not only bashes chiropractic, but on dozens of occasions has called all nurses (yes, NURSES)'quacks'. He's also a fraud, claiming 'expert' status but has NO professional degrees, licenses, treatment experience, etc. of any kind. None.
As one MD neurologist said about wisdom, "The poster wisdom does not represent us. He's an embarrassment to the medical community. He's just an angry flake with a warped perspective of chiropractic." I couldn't have said it better.

Not only are thousands of chiropractors mired in cults like maximized living and scientology, but the majority of chiropractors do not hesitate in making up lies like the quack aerial above. Poor depraved aerial. So angry that he chose to give his life to bogus and fraudulent work.

Make amends aerial, leave chiropractic and leave all the lies behind.

Its OK. You are not the first to be scammed into chiropractic. Its OK.

Chirotalk for all you answers.

Maybe some day I'll see you in a real health care facility.

Stalking the internet all day is not in your best interest.

The depth of a chiropractor's intellect .... cut and paste.

Remember aerial, its never too late to get out of chiropractic. I know many former chiropractors who have gone on to lead productive and honest lives.

I believe you can also.

Stalking the internet and posting lies all day is not healthy for you.

Have any of you read the Maximized Living book? What do you have against grass fed beef, less pesticides in your food, and taking carcinogens out of your diet? Do you like diet soda with aspartame more than being alive and disease free? What is wrong with you? It's no coincidence that American's health has declined as the additives and chemicals in food has risen. We aren't meant to eat food that is produced in laboratories. Try eating a raw organic veggie. It's good for you.

Or eat McDonald's and spend your later years in hospice eating out of tubes. The choice is yours. The FDA isn't going to keep your food safe. You need to be smarter about what the long list of chemicals in your food is and what it will do to your body.

Maximized living tries hard to be politically correct and say the right things about nutrition and other so called 'common sense' ways to live. Isn't that nice. This, in my opinion, is their way of justifying and selling their ridiculously long and expensive treatment plans. As a chiropractor, I detest this type of public deception. Chiropractic is effective by itself when used in moderation and by a competent practitioner.
Whenever I see a Maximized Living clinic hawking their wares at Wal-Mart or a local fair, I want to vomit. I think they are the worst possible poison in our profession. I don't know any of them who aren't crooks.
Most chiropractors are skilled, educated, legitimate and truly care about their patient's well being. If you encounter a Maximized Living chiropractor, run the other way like your house is on fire. And keep your hand on your wallet as you're running.

Aerial View,
I am a patient and I have been interested in nutrition and staying healthy for a long time. What is it about the plan that you "detest"? Is it that you don't believe that you need regular adjustments, or that sugar and chemicals are not causing diseases like they say, or that they have merchandise that they are selling (detox pills, protein powders, vitamins)?
I'm curious what about the Maximized Living makes you so against it. Do you think it doesn't make a difference to people's health? I am a huge fan of chiropractic care, and since you said you are a chiropractor yourself, I would like to understand what it is that makes you so against this plan.
My adjustments have taken care of back pain, allergies, chronic sinus infections, and I haven't been ill in over 2 years. Before adjustments I was pretty much sick every season with sinus problems, strep, ear infections, viruses... Not anymore.

They use high pressure sales tactics, cookie cutter treatment plans that fits THEIR money grubbing goals and not their patient's health care needs, cult-like mentality, and berating patients if they don't follow their chants and obey by nodding their heads. They use Mantras. They are a major embarrassment to the chiropractic profession. Their bible banging is so loud you can hear it over most ear-splitting freight train.
I've seen them in action. I'm glad you got better in spite of their tactics.
Yes, I am a chiropractor. My patients get great results with mostly everything I treat, some of which you listed. But I do it in ONE or TWO visits at $20-$40 per visit. My patients do just fine coming in a handful of times per year. A steady patient's yearly bill in my office is rarely over $200 total--for a YEAR.
I detest maximize living chiropractors who scam people into buying more visits than they need. Thousands and thousands of dollars worth each year, whether they need it or not (mostly not). They seem to talk 'job security' with each patient. You can have them. They have their version of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Look up Maximize Living. You'll see who it is.
They are why chiropractic has taken a PR hit. Which is a shame, since chiropractic is the greatest profession ever--that works, in the right hands.
