Wm. Buckley once described liberals as people "who want to reach into your shower and adjust the water temperatue". I dare say, there'll soon be quite a few of them reaching into places we don't want them to if this thing ever becomes law.

A new study by SurveyUSA puts support for a public option at a robust 77 percent, one percentage point higher than where it stood in June.
(CBS) A clear majority of Americans -- 72 percent -- support a government-sponsored health care plan to compete with private insurers, a new CBS News/New York Times poll finds.
Lets see now......that was less than 30 words, the demoncrats plan is over 1900 pages. I'd be willing to bet those 72% only want the 30 word version.

And they get different results in their own polls depending on how they are written. If CBS is using them, you know the results are skewed heavily towards B. Hussein. Rasmussen is the only reliable (if there is such a thing) pollster. Even the Demthuglicrats admitted it during the 2008 campaigns.

it's not exactly scientific like the so-called polls we read, but my feeling is, from what I've read and seen, that only a small percentage of the population of this country wants this stupid health care plan a.k.a. "Obama care". Over the last several years I have noticed a tendency of our elected officials, more often of the liberal bent doing what they damn well please and the hell with what the voters and taxpayers may think. Can't wait till 2012 and hopefully will be socialist free.

Eighty-three percent of Americans favor and only 14 percent oppose “creating a new public health insurance plan that anyone can purchase” according to EBRI, a conservative business research organization.
Looks like you should focus on polishing your OWN turds!
EBRI is not a conservative business research organization. They claim to be non-partisan. In other words, available to the highest bidder. And with results like that, we all know who the highest bidder is.

You should stop eating your turds, they're running out the corner of your mouth and landing here.

Just saw on C-Span that they want the National Health Service to guarantee that cancer patients can see a specialist within 2 weeks and get their tests done within a week. LMAO, and this is what some want here.
Better hope that cancer isn't an aggressive type. The Obamacare purchaser will be dead before his within 2 weeks appointment comes.

To get an idea of how well Obamacare will work, you need look no farther than the VA system. The Minneapolis VA hospital, for example built a new, 800 bed hospital. As of now, there are less than 150 of those beds in use. Why? Lack of funding and funding cuts.

All VA's throughout the country have long lines and long wait times for care. Again, lack of funding and funding cuts.

Best thing you can do under Obamacare is hope you don't get sick and die in your sleep.

Very laughable because it's DEAD in the Senate. There were almost 200 posts in the Fargo forum from the under-educated liberals living on my tax dollar boasting that they had won a new victory and that it was now a law. Shock and awe people, it's no wonder many country's have surpassed the United States in higher education. Can you drive any better with your cell phone shoved up your A##? I don't need to explain anything to the educated minority. There are only 3 branches of government. The house and the senate make up congress. It's dead in the senate so therefore no bill to put on the presidents desk for a signature. sorry Obama Rama. Only 3 more years left of you.

dam demthrugalcrat the VA ? HA HA HA The VA is the second largest department in the United States government only under the department of defence. Look at the pie. not to include social security because that is set up seperately and set to expire in 2037, and takes even a bigger chunk then the federal income tax individually. Business bears the burden of federal income tax. The VA system is a big wheel that employs hundreds of thousands of worthless human beings with a big fat paycheck for doing absolutely nothing for vets like me. The hell if i'm gonna dip out of pocket to pay the VA. They allways get my money anyway when they dip into my tax return. Once a GI allways a GI They got my number, and I will use the VA to my advantage. What disgust me about the VA is that they hand out cash like candy to many vets tax free that don't deserve a lick of it. All red tape. Anyway enough of that. I work like a working man do and pay my taxes to uncle sam so he can rob peter to pay paul. Sick of it but at least this is not Nazi Germany yet!

There are millions of formerly hard working but now unemployed American who have to rely on the government right now to survive. There are also millions of hard working Americans who don't have health insurance who will finally be able to get if from the government.
And all of us will some day be relying on the government for Social Security and Medicare.
Don't pretend that you don't rely on the government. We all do. That's why we have one.
<quoted text>
I've got news for you. Yes there are many individuals who are not insured. Most of those who "THINK" they CAN'T afford insurance - well, the government is going to tell them that they CAN afford insurance and that they are required to purchase it. It will be on a sliding fee scale and I'm here to tell you, even an individual who earns minimum wage will be required by law to purchase it, and it will be a whole lot more then they ever dreamed they would be paying. Government's idea of you not being able to afford insurance is a whole lot different then what any American citizen thinks they can afford. If you think the average unemployed individual is not going to have to pay for health insurance - think again. They will be required to pay for the insurance also - out of their unemployment benefits. The only way you can be assured of not having to pay for health insurance is if you have no income at all. If the government thinks 10% of one's income is a fair price to pay for health insurance - well, if you have receive a monthly welfare income of $400 - you will have to pay $40 a month for that health insurance. If the government thinks 12% to 15% is fair - it will cost you a bigger share of your $400 per month income. Gone will be any other programs for health care. The state in which you live in will no longer provide your health care coverage. That will be the job of the federal government. You want free health care? Get ready to give up your unemployment & welfare benefits and go live on the street with no income. That will be the only way you get FREE health care.

one thing for sure the government will make us all depend on them. if you don't you will be considered an enemy of the state. it's just a matter of time.

how do you suppose the unemployed will afford the government insurance?? free did you say?? wake up, nothing is free. so who pays??

i believe social security is taken out of working peoples checks, sort of like a savings account for use when we reach a certain age. sorry to inform you but the government has dipped into the social security funds for years, if a private entity did this the government would be screaming misappropriation of funds.

anyway, you go on believing the government has a clue about spending and saving money.(or for that matter what's best for you) they have a track record that speaks for itself. if a bank was run like the government how long do you think it would survive??

I've been saying all along that the government doesn't want to take over our health care. They do however want our health care dollars. You can bet your sweet life they'll get their mitts on it for unrelated reasons.

Some people will support anything (or any party) as long as they don't have to pay for it (or what it represents).

The Democrats have been capitalizing on this "something for nothing" phenomenon since FDR and LBJ. Now they have BHO as their newest "something for nothing" salesman.

However, the old "there is no free lunch" saying is as true as it ever was. A case in point is the fact that those who accept "something for nothing" often give up their freedoms and independence for it. The sad thing is that many of these people don't even know what it is their getting. All they know and care about is that they are, in their minds, getting that all important "something for nothing".

This is a good start on the road to Single Payer, but thw work for our Legislature is far from over.

Stand tall with our President and support what needs to be done so that we can grow as a more fair, and sustainable culture in America.

You just make me sick. You need to read up on your History. You can start with the Constitution of the United States of America.
