I.e. there are millions of people plagued with fibro that are out there in the job force working. It was only labeled as something psychosomatic because doctors were uneducated about it and of course they don't want to look stupid . Today's doctors aren't as ignorant as they continue to train and educate themselves on disorders that are real and measurable like fibro. There is a lot more research out there connecting fibro to large amounts of trauma and stress etc... So please stop stigmatizing people with unseen pain you just make yourself sound ignorant. Do some research before you judge anything!

" Fibromyalgia" is known by many names. Neuralgia, myofifbrocytis,'overactive nerves' impeded or pressure on a nerve . Subluxations and pressure on worn down spinal discs. Some believe it is a false diagnosis with other causations. And others a psychosomatic pain that is bought on by depression , inactivity, other "imaginary pill seeking behavior" pain that is felt, causes distress, disability, and does not just go away deserves some treatment until one finds some adequate pain ammaliaration. Pain untreated tends to feed on itself , causes worsening, leads to profound severe outcomes, and wheelchair and bed ridden unneeded causation. Refuse the walker and the "jassy" until the pain is too much to live with . Unfortunately suicide is often the outcome for those whose Dr's are unwilling to offer any humane pain relief.

Not sure where you get your info but I was and had been for years actively involved in softball, work and raising my kids when I was first diagnosed. It's people like you that make patients like us have a harder time living with this debilitating illness. I agree Fibro is not at all DEPRESSION I was never depressed when I started feeling pain actually I get depressed after years of feeling pain. How could anyone without pain NOT get depressed!?? If your In pain for so long and not depressed than .... Whoever stated depression causes fibro is greatly mistaken... Anti depressants does not take the pain away!

I think it's pretty disgusting stuff pretending to be a dr OR If you are...that your working at a field you simply don't belong in. I pity your patients!

Probably BORN with it, but an injury made it manifest itself, while I was in the Military. yes I'm a woman and no I didn't get service connected disability. 19 years old and it has plagued me CONSTANTLY since. I am about to be 49. Under these circumstances would that make YOU or Most people in to a nice, cheerful bright sunny personality. Being a Christian and forced to lie to get ANYTHING for it. Thats why I have a REAL problem with liars DOCTOR, because for YEARS I was forced to BE A LIAR, when it was against everything I stood for./Can you imagine trying to make up for that with the Lord. Ya dont, ya figure, well I'm a sinner anyway, so why not be just a tad bit "badder", cause you are scewed one way or another, when it comes to all things Christain. Yes I ACTED OUT. Woulsd I have, if it hadn't been for this medical problem, it's more likely than not that NO I would not have. Very depressing, this. Yes I have a real problem with lying, because I was a liar for many years, out of necessity, then a drug seeker liar or not. It was ALL bad. I worked till i couldnt any more, this took away my sense of value, never finished college or anything else I started. Loser, it screamed when it took away my career in the Military and jobs as well. Twenty six years of marraige. In the beggining it (the progressive disease) was not nearly as bad, manifestation wise or debilitating, as it is now. marital dificulties, that can be traced back to this crap, if ya look hard enough, oh yessiree Buddy! MY MARRAIGE, MY LIFE! Who the heck would ask for that, Dr. Snake oil. Peddle your tom foolery elsewhere, we are not amused. Real, you bet your arse it real, and it stole my life. I want it Back, but that's not how it works Doc. Thems some sour lemons, nobody wants lemonade from that. Oh and Bite Me! Sincerely, Mysticcherokee My guess this LOON isn't a Bona Fide dr. DRS when they get off work which consist of many hours( my daddy is a retired dr) THEY do NOT want to discuss work especially at home on their computer or even a cell phone! Than call diseases and illnesses disgusting. sorry, this character is a fake lol

Lyrica, neurontin, Cymbalta, anti depressants offer possible minor relief . Pain wise - ineffective unless combined with Xanax, Valium, and ten of hydrocodone bitartrate. Or perhaps ten of Percocet or OxyContin is effective, but DON'T DRIVE ! If you haven't been inoculated for shingles- For Gods sake get it, the pain is like unrelenting fire !

Fibromyalgia is real. Fairly new tho. They try to confuse it with an illness from the 50's but take my word for it. Just cause. Fibro started in the 70's when the use of High fructose corn syrup starting being added to tons of products. Folks just consume to much of this cancer and disease causing crap. http://www.zijaextreme.com/is-fibromyalgia-re...

Depression can be a consequence of this condition. Although I have taken SSRIs for it. I don't like Meds and they are a complication with Migraines which can be a serious complication of fibromyalgia. Improving the quality of life is the main goal, few people really get cured, but everyone is different on what works. And lastly someone in Your life whether it be a significant other, family. Love in Your life can sure make You feel better and the support You and others have for one another.
