Senator wants to make Texas smoke-free

If the government wants to stop the smoking,they need to stop the growing of the tobacco. But,oh no,
that is their tax money we would be touching.

I don't smoke but that is everyone's choice.I thought this what was America was all about
"Freedom of Choice".

Smokers think that SHS doesn't have an impact on non-smokers. Well instead of them ASSUMING, it has no impact on us, why can't they ASK US, if it does impact us. Since when, do they know what is best for ALL of us???

You mean like you assume your car's exhaust has NO impact on anyone? We don't say it has no impact, it does for some people, and is just an annoyance for most. What we do say though, as living proof, is that it is not a deadly as you want to believe it is (no one will be dropping dead from heart failure from brief exposures - could be why the SG is no longer the SG?).

Tobacco Companies are also irresponsible; and they most certainly want to make money and profit. Sometimes it is at the expense of our children and grandchildren. You may want to open your own eyes to this problem.

Smokers are LOSERS! We all have a right to smoke-free air, while there has never been any "right" to smoke. Smoking and tobacco should be completely banned and the tobacco people put to death. BRAVO, smoke-free air for everyone!!!

Smoking brain damages the addicts. Smoking is a lose-lose deal for everyone. I want smoking banned everywhere.

You talk about smokers and second hand smoke. What do you think you're breathing everyday? It isn't fresh air. I don't hear any of you wanting to ban driving because of the emissions the cars put out, or stop living with all your luxuries to keep the factories from pumping all that crap into the air.

And yes, in America we should have the right to smoke if we so choose, just as you have the right not to.

Also, Milo, we don't smoke with our brains but our LUNGS. Where do you get your information from? I have never read a surgeon general's warning stating anything about brain-damage.

You people need to get a life and find something legitimate to gripe about instead of what other people choose to do.
