B has preexisting conditions. Insurance companies have gotten away with not insuring this perk forever. It's a disgrace. Under Obama's program, insurers must insure almost everyone.
The Conserve solution is to eliminate most medical lawsuits. This does nothing to help the consumer who is uninsured. Conserves also want to allow consumers to buy policies across state lines to increase competition. Our free market system, once great, is broken. Lobyists have ruinded Washington and I don't see much true competition. Cheney's oil boys run that industry and the stock market is full of corruption that eliminates competition. Prices of stocks and commodities are manipulated by huge conglomerates who are crooks (eg.- Hedge Funds) and who reward their top echelon with billions of bonuses. You never hear of the Taft Hartley act or regulation of monopolies any more. Great job Ronnie Reagan and your Trickly Down theory of Economics and your belief that the markets can regulate themselves.

It is seldom that I can actually call folks "liars" in this place. I do this ONLY when I know the facts for certain.
One example was when someone posted that they had looked into it and knew that I was not a lawyer/member of the Fl Bar. I knew for certain that that was a lie. That poster was a liar and I said so.
This post by Mell is one more instance where I know the facts. I DO indeed pay taxes. I pay federal income taxes as well as ad valorem property taxes.
When a poster lies here in the forum, they diminish themselves in my eyes.
If a poster opines (civilly and fairly), and I disagree, that poster does NOT diminish himself in my eyes. I WANT to learn things. I want to understand folks with differing views. But I DO NOT want to knwoingly associate with, abet, or befriend liars.
