everyone in our immediate family who are healthy, mentally and physically, AND clean, have been asked to test. There is no need to bring negativity into a positive situation. If people felt serious about testing they would do so whether they were asked directly or not instead of putting a guilt trip on a family that is going through turmoil. Lets keep this positive!

If you are already in the bone marrow registry...do you need to go to the drive? When is the drive?

If you are already in the bone marrow registry then you do not need to be tested again! Thanks everyone for their support! I do not know his blood type but will find out tomorrow and post it!

I have to agree. For someone who had her own "medical problems" she should have known all about this test. She is being petty and looking for attention.

Remember that those of us who are in need of donors are not too picky. Please remember to put the pink dot on your license or i.d. card stating that you want to be a donor. You can even choose certain things to be donated, such as a kidney or liver, whatever. Heaven knows we need your organs and tissues here on earth. Make your last gift a gift of life.

I would like to thank all of you who are positive and supportive to our family!! We really appreciate it. Being put on the bone marrow registry is very simple. You do not need to know your blood type. You simply fill out a few questions and then you receive four Q-tip Swabs. You swipe the side of your cheek and return to the City of Hope. We will be holding many more Bone Marrow Drives. Making the public aware this is not a painful procedure is very important!! Many lives can be saved being on the Registry.
