I guess the procedure is still pretty revolting. And just so you know, I'm pro choice.:)

This probably the first time I've ever come down on the conservative side of an issue! 3 to 6 months is not illegal in most states. But I guess the procedure is pretty heart wrenching. Would you like to see a babies skull crushed? I'm all set.:)

Crushing a baby's skull and vacuuming up the remains is evil! I never thought this day would come!! On this point I agree with the conservatives. My fellow progressives on thin ice here. That's all I can say.

Time to break out the ol bread and butter the fight on abortion, why is it so hard to give a woman the right to choose? without demonizing the people that support pro-choice. This shouldn't be an issue NO ONE wants to see babies die. If a single Woman wants to decide something that directly effect her and her only, she should have the right. But if she has a man that want to fight that right then the court of law should be forced to step in and decide, other than that a woman of sound mind should have the right to choose less she found mentally unfit of course.

And just so you know, I'm pro choice.:) I know you are, and I'm sorry. I didn't mean to jump on you. Personally, while I am in favor of a woman opting for abortion at any point in her pregnancy, I sure do wish they would make the decision earlier rather than later. For one thing, it's easier on her physically. In the first 2 months, she can terminate with medication alone. Second, while I will always fully support a woman's right to choose I do think it's more humane to terminate early. And most are. Almost 90% of abortions occur before week 12. I also think that once a fetus is viable, it must be given the chance to live, except in the case of fetal anomaly or mom's life or health being in danger. I'm sure it's a very difficult thing to watch. Roe gives the rights back to the states later on in pregnancy. This is a pretty cool link that show which states allow what. It's updated monthly, so the latest information is always there. The restrictions the state has in place are included too. http://www.guttmacher.org/statecenter/spibs/s...

And the vast majority of those are for health or life of the woman or fetal anomaly or demise. Nobody likes abortion, but it's necessary sometimes. Even late.

I agree with you completely and I'm already familiar with your link. It's the 10% of abortions that are not performed in the first 12 weeks that I am concerned about. I hope you can at least understand that, even if you don't agree. Take care.

BUNK - GARBAGE - baby killers like abortion because it's an easy fix for an unwanted pregnancy.

The choice of whether or not to have an abortion is heart wrenching for most women. Do you have a daughter? What if she were raped? How can you be so heartless and so unthinking? I respect those who oppose abortion. But this is not a black and white issue.

I think not, according to your reasoning.

I'm familiar with you...and I'm not going down this road. You don't get to decide what's convenient in someone else's life. You don't get to decide what's an "easy fix" in someone else's life. Not your uterus? NOT your business!

That may teach some responsibility, God Forbid. That's pretty shortsighted, don't you think? Would you rather pay extra welfare dollars for her to feed that extra child? None of us get to pick and choose where our tax dollars go. If we did, mine wouldn't be paying for that ridiculous war on the other side of the world.

Most of us(men) can never fully appreciate how hard it is. Folks like this moron don't even try. That's why, in the end, despite my reservations, I'm pro choice.

Thank you for the clarification. Psuedo intellectuals , who enter such 'DE BATES" as 'COME ON>>> I DONT BITE" then suck up to 'personal experience gut wrenching de cisions of a family member, have not read what I have posted since entering into this thread. However, the knee jerk reaction is A typical of such reactionary forces. A WOMANS RIGHT..yada yada. Disclude all you will the Man. Diminish all you want for choice the sanctity of life and its sacredness, with such infintile diatribes as such exampled. Moron. LOL I was at the end of your sentence, while you were still at the beginning.
