Of course like Freud said "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar". And sometimes people are just paranoid my friend. I'm not particularly religious but you don't have to be to have misgivings about abortion. I understand why people oppose it. But those of us who believe in a woman's right to choose are not evil. So stop being paranoid.

I like a good debate and I don't bite.:) still recovering from that wonderful musical video. oh, debate? Frued? ha I cant begin with Frued. Perhaps, hmmmm Carl Jung? In his book 'Modern Man in Search of a Soul' Dr. Jung said that in each and everyone of his patiets over the age of 35 that he 'had' to administer psychothearpy to. That they had either lost, or never developed a religious relationship to life. ie. spiritual veneration of life. k.

note now, you began your entry into this process with debate. everything which begins with the letters DE is against the Light. So , know where Im coming from. That is unless you wish to go to the dictionary and find any word beginning with DE which is not. Good luck there. you began this process by making a statement of your position, of a womans RIGHT. I have not in this thread mentioned RIGHT once. So, yes. Begin?

You did talk about religion. I have nothing against it, per se. If you are religious then good for you. Why do you think a woman should not have the right to an abortion? I'm not talking about late term abortions. I find those to be just as reprehensible as you likely do. But a woman one or two months into pregnancy is another matter entirely. And I don't know why it says North Reading but I'm typing from Woburn MA. And sorry, but you do seem paranoid.

Tooth4U wrote: Lets begin with what dr. Jung said. What is a religious relationship to living? Despite your obvious paranoia I'd like to talk a little more about religion. I think it does help people. I just have a hard time excepting it. Take Christianity for example. Did you know that the Bible you read is simply a variation of the bible that was approved by an Emperor of Rome? The Bible was written by flawed human beings, not God. And is full of impossible fairy tales. Pleas convince me I'm wrong. I'd actually like to believe, I just can't. And by the way, why does that make me evil? I'm all ears.

My best friend recently graduated from medical school and he told me that he recently witnessed an abortion. A late term abortion. He, like me, is not religious. But he found the procedure to be revolting! He swore that he would never again participate in such an "inhuman procedure". So I get it, okay? I just want you to understand that.

Late term abortion is banned other than for serious medical problems with the fetus or the pregnant woman. And if it were one of those things, and your friend has a problem with that, perhaps he shouldn't be a doctor.
