Full story: TwinCities.com

The Republican National Committee's health insurance plan covers elective abortion - a procedure the party's own platform calls "a fundamental assault on innocent human life." Federal Election Commission Records show the RNC purchases its insurance from Cigna.

I think elective abortion is perfekt for the GOP and it's followers. For that matter spontaneous abortion or just plain abstinence would be ok too! If I had any money left at the end of their eight years I woulda gladly donated a couple hundred crates of prophylactics to them too!!!.

Not at all. The RNC is a private organization; it can do as it pleases. Being able to force your neighbor to buy your abortion via the government is entirely different.

Tomorrow will be reading about Republican abortion lemmings crashing into each other as they attempt to reset their moral compasses to the confusing message sent by their leadership who are not concerned about anything but themselves. Great values!

Nice spin amigo, but let's get real here. Your leadership are selfish, self centered elitist's who lead you around every four years of changing abortion laws. You are nothing to them, but the 'crazy' base!

Irrelevant. Liberals need to learn the difference between abortion being legal and having the legal right to make someone else pay for it.

We all pay for things that are legal and we don't like. When Republicans steal back their political advantage, they can change the law and exclude everyone from the benefit except themselves. Lemming.

Steal back? Are you that effing stupid? If either party was so great, then why hasn't either party retained power indefinitely? YOU are the lemming. And not a very bright one at that!

Because the RNC's health insurance covers abortions, they are hypocrites? If abortions are covered, that's because the insurance company has decided to cover them. Now, if you had evidence that members of the RNC were actually having abortions, you might have a case. The RNC has nothing to do with Cigna covering abortions. Why is this a story?

Stealing elections is a a Republican strategy. Surely you remember when Kathleen Harris under Jeb Bush intentionally denied 90,000 voters the right to vote by claiming falsely that they were felons? FU, lemming.

You apparently failed at reading;
Cigna spokesman Chris Curran declined to discuss the specifics of the RNC's plan, saying it's against company policy to reveal even the identities of its insured. But he said that Cigna's products "are designed to meet the requirements of our individual employer clients. Employer clients are informed of the services covered and it is their choice to decide which benefits meet their needs.

Would you like to reiterate your point?

The Republicans do not support abortion. Their insurance company happens to cover abortions. If the Republicans could stop Cigna from covering abortion, they would.

Apparently Republican politicians support abortions for their families, as they chose a plan includes the option. I have CIGNA from my employers offerings and it doesn't include the coverage of abortions.

How much would they have saved on the policy by simply reading it and xing out the abortion coverage? If they are to lazy to read their own health care policy. What makes you think they know what's in the one that's not even finished yet! Geez Paleeze Louise! At least the moon is waning and Bachmann has slunk back into her werewolf den for a rest. However Timmies suspenders and voice are still high and tight.Still crowing about the fine shape he left this high tax and now high fee state in! SHHHH don't tell the national media about the state having to borrow money to pay it's bills. It might make Timothy look bad!Beware all you Larry Talbots out there.

Okay, left-wingers...Cigna offers many plans. Probably it was the best plan for the money-it just happened to cover abortions. It does not mean that anyone used that plan provision. Anything to smear the GOP and try to make Uncle Barry look like less of an Uncle Tom...

if anyone knows about abortion policies it's the repugnicants - their policies are full of them.

then again, they can't be expected to read everything, like their own bills, the constitution, etc.
