Again how is my owning a gun going to affect you?

Had a neighbor commit to buy my house, went out and placed a deposit on another and the neighbor is starting to flake. Contracts are signed but he has outs. Now I may have outs....outs on the $5,000 I put on another house. LOL!!! Hope I don't lose and the deal goes through. Otherwise I'll have one dead neighbor, be in prison for 10 to 20 and I'll STILL be out the $5,000. LOL! I see you're keeping up the good fight. Remember, statistics are often a mis-used tool. I can provide statistics than fondue forks cause a significant number of injuries and deaths inside the home given enough time. I wish people would choose to think instead of react emotionally to the aspect of gun ownership so we could put this issue to rest. One bumper sticker on a 1970 Ford pickup said it best..'Guns Don't Kill People, People Kill People'. Hope you've been doing good.

I'm losing $150,000 on the house I'm selling since I bought it on the high end 2 years ago. I lost $47,000 a few years back on a bad renters (California hates landlords but rewards tenants no matter if they pay rent or not). I'm trying to swallow the idea of losing on this also and have left sacraficial gifts to the God of Real Estate but we'll see. It may be 1-800-waaaugh and a walk down the road on this one. LOL!

Eyes Wide Shut wrote: <quoted text> The issue at hand is that most gun owners in the United States do not have a clue what "good tactics" means. Prove it. So far you've posted one article, yet US citizens effectively use firearms approximately 2.5 million times in self defense every year. 1 in 2.5 million is a pretty darn small percentage. Certainly doesn't constitute "most". Eyes Wide Shut wrote: Most such as those posting in this thread just pray for the day that they get to shoot a person in cold blood and preferably a minority. That's a flat-out, bald faced lie, and I challenge you to prove otherwise. Remember, 2.5 million firearms usages, and only in 100-200 of those cases the firearm is actually fired... You know the group that you openly mock and ignore? Taking the law into ones own hands and defending one's self are two entirely different things. Or are you suggesting that people be willingly raped, beaten, and/or murdered so as not to interfer with the coming investigation?

Eyes Wide Shut wrote: <quoted text> Oh to dream a little dream. How many of those guns sold at gun shows wind up in the hands of some kid knocking over a Seven Eleven? The FBI did a study (I want to say a 15 year study) that ended recently on that very topic. It turns out that so few firearms used in crimes come from gunshows as to be considered insignificant... Eyes Wide Shut wrote: If the answer is one it is still too many. I can guarantee you that far more than one vehicle is used in the commission of a crime. Shall we shut down car lots as well? So you are saying that if guns were banned a criminal would obey this law? I figure that since criminals are going to arm themselves regardless, the law abiding should be able to do the same. Why do you want to tip the scales so far into the criminal's favor?

Sorry, it turns out it was a 5 year study. Faulty memory. Either way, here are some links: http://sayanythingblog.com/readers/entry/pres... http://www.nraila.org/Issues/Articles/Read.as... (See this? This is called supporting my claims with cites. You should give it a try sometime)

Furthermore how sane can a human being be who uses a picture of a gun to represent themselves? You are probably just waiting for the first chance that you can get to be able to shoot another person in public!
