An interesting article. http://communities.washingtontimes.com/neighb... If doctors opt out, how does that help the average citizen who can't afford out of pocket medical care? What would be the purpose of the government controlling one fifth of the economy? Student loans are too complicated to get into on a gun forum. Some were completely private, some were government insured or government subsidized. Some were interest deferred and some were principle deferred. The point is, now they are all government financed. The banks can still loan, but they won't. Thank Dodd/Frank. What does an oath have to do with the government control of the health system? You brought up the subject healthcare is a right. Why don't you explain how that supposed right can occur without government intrusion and control of a private entity. |

Good afternoon teaman, I predict that as soon as you trounce the idiot bunny, she will either ignore your post, or come back with a different statement and ask why you have not proved that one, or she will claim you wrote something else completely unrelated to the original topic. Her MO has not changed. Good luck, you are getting into an argument with a deranged lunatic. Fun the 1st or second time. |

Ambulance, fire, police, and so on are state government. I will have to sit down and explain the difference between the states and the people vs. the federal government's encroachment on the state's function of governing its people. Gun laws are state laws unless it involves interstate transportation or commerce. There is no federal law against murder (unless it involves a federal officer) and no state law against counterfeiting currency. Get it. For you information (too much for this forum), my wife is a cancer survivor. I'm very thankful for private insurance. I know with 100% certainty she would be dead if she had a government plan. Hardly anything she needed would have been covered under Medicare. Hermain Cain said as much about his bout with cancer. He said he would be dead if Obamacare was in place. Oh! Some fire departments do charge for a fire. |

Judged: 1 1 1 No comrade It is not arrogance in my vein . even though I am retired from service in two countries I am still working hard to call a spade a spade. Simply because my critical views are not that of yours you cannot brand me as an arrogant person in this forum. Sorry for your hasty assessment. |

Judged: 1 1 1 I am critical og Guns and I have tzhe same liberty to oppose the popularization of guns- I beg to quote this to form your own views. Not written by me but I subscribe this view. "In 1865 there was the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, followed by those of three other presidents: James Garfield, William McKinley and John F. Kennedy, the violent deaths of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, the shootings at Columbine, Virginia Tech and Tucson. Each time, America looked at her past, analyzed the behavior of her sons, trying to find an explanation for the unspeakable, but to no avail. Eleven assassination attempts have been made against presidents of the U.S.— more than a fifth of the men who have succeeded each other to the White House. Still not included in this astounding report are the survivors such as Andrew Jackson, Franklin Roosevelt..... http://watchingamerica.com/News/169706/in-the... |

Seriously. Got any ammo??? |
Judged: 1 1 1 So you still want to blame the gun for the actions of a handful of lunatics? What if Lincoln had been stabbed in the back of the head instead of shot? Would you be OK with that since a gun wasn't used? Do you get the point? |

Judged: 1 1 1 Education is not protecting one's life with 10 guns and a bowl of soup or stabbing in the back. Education is to revitalize the society without violent thoughts. My wife is a Christian and my parents were religious Hindus. I see in India violence and i see violence in the Christian continent. Crucifying Jesus and celebrating Christmas eve with all kind of non-environmental gifts is not my education |

"Traditional cultures around the world have a wealth of stories, and a very large part of education in those cultures consists of sharing, learning, and thinking about those stories. They aren't simply entertainment. Stories are probably the oldest and most important of all human tools" http://thearchdruidreport.blogspot.de/2006/05... |

Judged: 1 1 1 don't take amiss and make your own judgment about my views. I was born without guns and lived without guns and wish to die without guns.. It is not anti-gun lobby but a sort of freedom of speech which is enshrined in the grama#s laws |

Judged: 1 1 1 The poster,'ZigmunnDroid,' put the question to you: Who's the one here attempting to FORCE others to an ideal? You and others of your ilk. How many 'pro-gun' posters here have sought to FORCE you to keep and bear a gun? None. How many 'anti-gun' posters here have sought to FORCE their views upon all others? All of them, including yourself. I consider it a rather interesting situation that you profess a degree of innocence, while at the very same time engaging in acts of intellectual assault, what with your continued, and totally unfounded protestations. |

. Batterers’ use guns in a variety of ways to intimidate their victims
We analyzed survey data collected from over 8,000 males enrolled in a certified batterer intervention program in Massachusetts, 1999-2003. Recent gun owners were 8 times more likely to have threatened their partners than non-gun owners. Four main types of gun threat against partners were (a) threatening to shoot then,(b) threatening to shoot a pet or person the victim cares about,(c) cleaning, holding or loading a gun during an argument, and (d) shooting a gun during an argument. Rothman, Emily; Hemenway, David; Miller, Matthew; Azrael, Deborah. Batterers’ use of guns to threaten intimate partners. Journal of the American Medical Women’s Association, 2005; 60:62-68. |

Judged: 1 1 1 People who commit crimes or threaten their spouse or have a violent history almost 100% of the time own at least one pair of shoes. Millions of killers around the world including countries with strong antigun laws do own shoes. What does this point to? Shoes cause crime. See I can make a study point to any thing I want just like you. Do you want to talk about shirts and pants? |

That is your choice and your belief but don't expect the rest of mankind to agree with you. Perhaps you have lived a safe life but many of us have been exposed to very violent people and extreme situations that maybe you haven't been. Just maybe some of us feel self defense is a right and the manner we defend ourselves is a right also. If it were not for violent criminals people like me would not need to have a gun for self defense. You are trying to treat the symptom of a problem and not the cause. Find a cure for violent criminals (rapist and murderers) and dictators who kill and enslave the people and the gun problem will solve it's self. |
