Let me ask you this, regardless of whether or not you have ever owned a fire arm, and had it confiscated by a government that thought it was doing the right thing.
What would you honestly feel if you returned home to find criminals had invaded that home, killed your father or brother, and were in the process of raping your mother or sister.
I believe you would be, horrified, outraged and more than willing to defend your loved ones in this one in a million instance with what ever comes to hand..

Not everyone chooses to own a firearm, and I respect that freedom of choice. However, when some folks do own them criminals arent so confident, sort of like a lottery, they take a chance. Remove all guns from law abiding citizens, and you remove the lottery, you remove the risk, you announce to a criminal that he has nothing to fear.
I am not the criminal, the man who breaks in to my home or attacks my family is, and so infact are you, for denying me the right to defend on a level playing field that which I, and all normal civilised people hold dear.
