Get over yourself. I've seen many players do worse and nary a peep from any of you self-important keepers of the game. I had to go find the video online when I first heard all the commotion. I thought he'd actually hauled off and punted the club into the crowd. Sorry, patrons. Much ado about nothing.

The PGA needs to sanction woods for his bad etiquette, That has always been a main stay in their rules. for a player of his level, even if he is not doing well, to allow him to do so is so wrong. first he should have been dis-qualified, then ban from any tournament which would be televised! If they don't, it will come back and bite them. I have very little respect for the PGA, simply because of the way they allow some members to do anything while they run the not so well known like they were dogs.

Tommy D is right. Sure he shouldn't have kicked his club. Sure he shouldn't cuss--etc etc but, pro players out of the public eye have done as bad and, some worse. Fine him, give him a warning and then see what happens. And, nobody knows if he, or any other golfer, has been fined for this or in the past since the PGA does not publicize fines.

I am an avid golfer and a Tiger fan. I don't throw clubs (anymore) but at times my language can be less than appropriate. For me I am able to differentiate between Tiger the golfer and Tiger the person. I pull for him on the course - he is the holy graile for the PGA. But as a person I would just as soon shoot him. I have read Haney's book "The Big Miss" and while it is an obvious attempt on Hank's part to confirm his value as a swing coach it also confirms that Tiger is an jerk.

People handle frustration in different ways and when it comes to professional sports visibility enhances those frustrations. Some players reactions aren't seen because the cameras or microphones aren't on them. Henrik Stenson didn't hide his frustrations but little was said.

I believe there is more to the criticism of TW and it is reflected in the comments and the ongoing scrutiny that even some sports analysts (i.e., Brandel Chamblee, Nick Faldo) perpetuate in their opinions on any aspect of TW's game, as if they could/did better. Their impartiality is hidden in plain view.

All sports can be frustrating on any level especially when one is doing their best and not performing at the level they feel they can/should . As a spectator, one should watch, learn and possibly appreciate the human struggles that are a part of the sport.

Reading Haney's book doesn't have to be a factual account of Tiger Woods. A swing coach is not an analyst nor a personal confidant. I've not read the book, nor I intend to read it because I have seen Haney's attempts to coach golfers on TV and honestly haven't been impressed. Haney is a swing coach, period.

I agree with Maynard above, he hit it right on the nose. Every chance they get they just make sure they throw in about the "incident" because don't you know they live in glass houses, Jesus Christ, let the dead horse die, will ya.
jls51344 evident the Tiger is not your favorite person why not get rid of him is what you are saying.

and I can bet, like many others, golf is just not the same without the Tiger playing. Tiger, for me and a whole bunch of others I'm sure, YOU made golf
worth watching and still do, in my opinion

Yeah -- golf's not the same: it's better. And Tiger's just become another inconsistent player --unless, of course, you're looking at him with stars in your eyes.

Well, I don't know how inconsistent of player he is since he has won 3 times this year. Instead of being head and shoulders over the rest of the pros he has come back to the field. Hell, he is tied for third at the OPEN shooting 2 straight 67's. That is not inconsistency.

I agree with Tommy. My God all these hypocrites like they have never used foul language. This is there job. Even playing for fun and competing I know I use it b/c I am mad at my self and very competitive. Not saying I am proud. I ask GOd for forgiveness. He is the only one I am impressing. They do it for a living. Do u have a camera on u 24/7. Hypocrites
