TOO FAR: Woods' return will be sweet for Tour

Full story: Public Opinion

It's going to be exciting, yet nauseating. It's going to happy, yet sad. And it'll certainly ram home the point that, unfortunately, integrity doesn't sell tickets or drive television ratings.

What he did certainly was wrong for his family, but that for me is their business not mine... I for one have not watched one golf match since he withdrew. Golf needs him, but boy!!! will he ever have to be strong when he walks that course for the first time since this circus began..Hurry back Tiger the game is so ho! hum! since you left.

Golf is one of the several sports that could go under and most of Americans could care less. You need to realize that Woods is just a golfer and the vast majority of Americans will not watch a golf match be it with or without Woods.

I say... WELCOME back tiger!!!!! I do truly believe the game isn't the same without him!! I know what he did was very wrong but he is and will continue to pay the price for that!!! It's over and it's time to move on! Let's just hope the media can let go!

As a woman, I say 'Tiger, get your butt back on the course!' I never watch golf except when Tiger's in the hunt. I was disappointed last year when his temper tantrums started to get the best of him because I thought he was better then me. At least now when I mutter something foul and throw my club, I can say,'Tiger does it too!'

Watching him in a close game late on Sunday when he needs a forty foot putt to clinch it or saying there's no way he's going to win and he does...there's nothing better!

All of his 'rivals': Mickelson, Singh, Garcia? Please.

Besides, if I threw everyone out of my life (friends, family, co-workers) who've made awful mistakes in their lives, I'd be pretty lonely and hypocritical. The only thing I hold against Tiger is the Perkins waitress! Have you seen her?!?

He's a jerk always has been and the game would be better off without him. He can't control his mouth and apparently other parts of his body as well. I have enjoyed the game more with him gone than I have for the last ten years or so. Don't hurry back Mr. Woods the game will do just fine without you.

The return of Tiger will be good news for the tour.Mr Woods is today the best golfer in the world but.....I ask my self is he indispensable???is the tour, or the game of golf is going to go the way the dinosaurs went ??? after all the golf game its been here for the at lest 500 years I know in the present he his a big part of our sport but I do not think that he is the game. So welcome if he came back if he do not came back big deal!!

The game will be fine, and boring, without him...but much less lucrative for everyone involved. That's a fact.

Tiger Woods vs. Roger Federer - Tiger age 34 has won 14 majors in the last 13 years and is 5 majors short of the all time PGA majors record. His buddy Roger Federer age 28 has won 16 majors in the last 6 3/4 years. That means that Roger won 16 majors in about 1/2 the time it took Tiger to win 14 majors. Furthermore, Roger is THE ALL TIME ATP SINGLES MAJORS RECORD HOLDER in his sport! After knowing this did Tiger get ATHLETE OF THE DECADE just because he was American and Roger was not? Should the AP now take back his ATHLETE OF THE DECADE AWARD and now get Howard Stearn to present him with THE RON JEROMY AWARD ? Considering all those shots on the 19th hole?
