Wie winning would be good for LPGA

There are better players. The media just loves her...tell them. They either over cover her or under cover her. I hope that she closes this year with a victory.

I agree they need to focus on other STARS of the LPGA. Have articles about them rather than articles about where Wie finished in the tournament. She is back in school so I wouldn't count on her winning before the year is out, but things happen.

The headline is basically true, it would be very good for the LPGA, and women's golf in general when Michelle wins.
She won't be the messiah just by herself, but she would add a tremendous amount to the tours popularity when she gets a few wins under her belt.

Once she silences her critics, and finally starts realizing her potential. It's a no-brainer that it would only help the tour when she wins. The majority of fans support her and view in to see her play, it's just a plain and simple truth when you compare viewership ratings. When she's not doing well or not in the tourney, the ratings fall mightily. But when she is in contention, the ratings spike up. It spikes up merely when she's in the tourney, and that's what the sponsors are realistically looking for, more potential viewers, more profitability. More profitability, more tournament sponsors.
