Full story: CANOE

Golf without Tiger Woods is like soda pop without the fizz. He is to the PGA Tour what champagne is to New Year's Eve.

It's obvious that Bill Lankof doesn't get it. The most important thing to Tiger Woods was keeping his family together. If he has succeeded, which I hope he has, signing autographs and not barking at the gallery is the least of his concerns. Playing well enough to win is second on his agenda now.

Bill Lankof and other sports writers think that Tiger Woods has to bow down and kiss their feet or ring, in order to make a successful comeback. Not so. It's the behavior of the sports writers that is going to be scrutinized by the public. The public simply want Tiger back... playing and winning. It's been said before, "Winning will take care of itself."

If sportwriters play sanctimonious it will backfire on them. The golfers are the newsmakers not the sportwriters.

Tiger age 34 has won 14 majors in the last 13 years and is only 5 majors short of the all time pga record. His buddy Roger Federer age 28 has won 16 majors in the last 6 3/4 years and is the ALL TIME MAJORS LEADER in his sport. As you can see Roger won 16 majors in about 1/2 the time it took Tiger to win 14 majors! That's ON THE FIELD! now OFF THE FIELD? Let's just say Roger has never been to sex rehab!

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Taurus

Your spirits are high and you're feeling great! It's a super day for doing whatever appeals to you, provided it involves plenty of enjoyment and laughter. The thought of struggling through a pile of work is likely to leave you cold, and you'll be tempted to put it off until you're more in the mood. If you can, visit somewhere new now.
