Brandt Snedeker

I love to watch young players come of age. Brandt showed great composure under great pressure. Sure things didn't go his way Sunday, but it didnt go Zack's, Tiger's, Cink's or many other player's way either. Through it all Brandt always had that little smile. Sometimes the smile was a smile of doubt or a smile of confusion but he never lost his cool. Brandt has found a new fan in Iowa.

If you read this, just wanted you to know that I was pulling for you as hard as I could this past week at Augusta. So much so in fact that my almost 3-year old son was saying "Get In" by the end of the day Sunday. After the eagle putt on #2, he thought I'd lost my mind. I was going crazy with my enthusiasm. Obviously, when the tournament ended I had a feeling of sorrow. YOu had a great tournament but just came up short at the end. But I, as many I'm sure, appreciate the positive attitude you showed throughtout the day of success and struggle. I wanted you to know that you have a lifelong fan and that I look forward to seeing you at Augusta in 09. Enjoy the ride. You're living the dream for many of us that will never step foot inside the ropes. Best of luck in the future.

Brandt, if you read this I am curious, where did you get your first name? Are you German or Swedish? If you are swedish, we could be related as my family that came over from Sweden were named Olsson and when they came to the US they changed their name to Brant (within 2 years someone put a "d" in it) so everyone always thought that I was German, but no we were Swedish. Brandt is my very favorite golfer to watch in tournaments. He is so appealing -- the way in which he confronts every situation. No matter how very good or not so good his shots are, his smile makes him a joy to see. I am pulling for him every time!!!! He must have wonderful parents to have produced someone so outstanding in talent and personality.
