Golf professionals are no different than all the athletes now. They receive too much money from their sponsors. What they get playing the sport is pocket change compared to what they receive in endorsements. Look at Mr. O’Neil last year in the NBA playoffs. What incentive did he have to win? As soon as the Bulls eliminated them he was able to start his TV show, spend more time on his real estate development and all the other things that make him money. His sponsor pay and NBA pay is automatic. Sports to most of us is a hobby and it seams that the pro’s are wanting it to be their hobby and not look at is as a job and as long as people continue to spend money going to watch and buy the Nike, Titlist, and all the other products that 50% of the cost is due to endorsements it won’tchange
