Wie shrugs off criticism

I'd be very surprised if she makes the cut. My advice to Wie, go to the LPGA qualifying school.

she can barely play against women, has she no shame? how many times can she loose?

This is her fast track back if she should qualify and even place in the tournament. She's under pressure from her sponsors, probably. They're rolling the bones hoping she'll qualify. That would make her worth a LOT of money.

A lot of the criticism concerning Michelle's golf is right on...I mean 'it is what it is'...however, she's a good kid and she takes the criticism and verbal shots like a grown up beyond her years.

Compare Michelle with Danica Patrick and I think everyone will agree....she carries herself a heck of a lot better....plus she's a heck of a lot better looking.

Good for her. I personally don't agree with her tactic, but in the end, who cares what I or anybody else says about her career?! She can do whatever she wants! It's a free country but there are way too many armchair QB's.

PS...Im sure Wie is keeping track of what people say about her in the Honolulustarbulletin.com blog! Im sure we're hurting her feelings!

If she can win then she will become super famous, but if she loses it won't be so good.
I admire her courage just the same at such a young age.

A few men were lined up to play in the men's league, but they said they were bumped off because of Wie so they're not too happy about that considering she is a woman in a man's league.

With that said my little Wee-Wee rich brat. Go for it! I will be watching. Make a name for Hawaii because we sure need something in these bad times.

Yes this girl is a small bitch now and will grow into a large one soon. She is done, she will never be anything and is or was a flash in the pan. Her fathers attitude is coming through. The whole family is arrogant.

They are so arrogant and I wish they would just stay home because that was one of the main reasons I was not backing up Wie. Wie should do it alone and leave mom and dad home.

Many of us like yourself can see this like an open book and it makes me sick.

One small disagreement, difference is Danica did win a race against the men.
And Danica is prettier, IMO.

I don't think she should be playing against the men but you gotta give her credit for the way she handles the critics and the press. I thought it was funny for her to say she's never heard of Jay Williamson. With all the criticism she has faced from day one I think she has stood up to the press pretty well. Too bad her game is not up to par....

Michelle has shown the world that she just doesn't have it. When she scores well, she makes stupid mistakes and gets disqualified. When she doesn't make stupid mistakes, she scores poorly. She should just take her millions, retire from pro golf, and let us focus on the serious players.

Comparing Michelle's home training and upbringing to Tigers.

Tiger's dad taught him the game with super concentration and to take time and do it properly, Michelles dad taught her to attempt shortcuts.

Michelle will eventually drift away with little success, she does not have the upbringing the likes of Tiger, or the stamina to wait and do it properly.

Michelle is just no female Tiger Woods. She has the swing but not the mental strength.

EXCUSE ME but Danica Patrick is 1 and 59 (1 and 60 after this weekend) hardly a comparison to a 19 year old who has played in just a few mens events. I only wish that myself and friends when we were 19 years old...would have been so mature as this gal with all of the pressures she faces.

It all started when team Wie signed the million dollar contract with Nike. She is under contract and Nike dictates and controls her. According to Nike she must play because they want maximum exposure of their million dollar baby.

i guess hearing the truth michelle really hurts. you are woman, play with the women, you and your daddy, mommy, and sponsors stop being publicity hounds, enuff with the whining, we got to hear you again go through the misery of why you can't compete with the men, getting sick of the shananagins...sh*tup, stop making excuses, and play golf...with your counterpart, the women...thankyou
