McLachlin leads Reno after tying course mark

Fellow Punahou School graduate Michelle Wie wasn't nearly as fortunate after her second-round 80 left her nine shots shy of the cut line.

Michelle continues to baffle. She passes up a chance to play in the Women's British Open (a major tournament) to play against the men in the non event Reno-Tahoe open. Her defiant reasoning--"It's what I felt like doing." The predictable result was another badly missed cut. After Friday's round, she allowed how she "grinded really well". Grinded? Makes you wonder if her english teacher at Punahou was Lippy Espinda. How about "I went grind really wall".(past pluperfect?). NOT! Shape up girl, you are beginning to worry us all.

"I feel my game is a lot better. Obviously the score doesn't show it, but I know what I need to work on," Wie said. "I gave it my best today and I felt like I did a lot of good things and hopefully that outshines the ones I made mistakes on."

michelle, didn't you say that the last time? and the time before that? and before that? and befo dat? and....

Parker does well, yet half the article is about Wie, who sucked.

Great going Parker, keep up the good work.

Sadly, the media and public continue to dog Wie for following her dreams. Whether or not she makes the cut trying to compete with the men, she has done something most people have never done. She has TRIED to reach a goal others feel is impossible. How many of you have a dream and TRY to make it happen. All the Monday morning quarterbacks who know everything, but really know nothing at all.

I say keep TRYING Michelle, follow that dream! I don't care how many times you fail. You are a winner in my heart for TRYING! Besides, if and when you do make the cut, all the naysayers will be at your door blowing smoke about how they believed in you all along.

I wish both of you all the success in the world, no matter what others say.

Wie lacks the ability to compete with the men and she has won nothing as a pro. or even come close. She did a lousy job in a second tier tournamaent in reno and embarrassed herself.

Please please you arrogant Korean, yes I said Korean as that is what she is. Please go away far away and take your family. You are so full of kaka it is unbelievable. The reason she tries to play with the men are a couple of reasons, first the women on the LPGA can't stand her and secondly she will never win place of show in the mens league and it is an easy out...they are men and stronger.

She is a huge pus_sy and needs to go. I will give her famliy a free pass to Kim Chee II in Kaimuki (the best meat jun) in town with all the kim chee they can eat.

Please please Michelle go away and don't tell anyone you have any ties to Hawai'i.

Michelle needs help in giving her good advice to play in LPGA before she tries again in a men's tournament. Though UH had excellent professors but not in giving golf advices to play within her own peers. Like Annika Sorensam says there was a major LPGA and she opt for a nation tour. If she wants to qualify in a men's tournament she should try the Senior's men tournament first than maybe she had a chance or try to win a LPGA which she had a good chance last week. Best chance she had to win.

Good Luck Parker. For the record.

1 Parker came in 137th on the PGA tour in 2007 and made $627,582.

2. Because he was not on the top 125, he had to go back to Q school to qualify for the PGA 2008 tour.

3. You make me and so many people in Hawaii so proud of you and you never complained.

4. Good luck again and hope you make the top 125 on the PGA money list this year so you will be exempt for 2009

Go Parker!

You can do it!

As consolation for Michelle Wii, she did beat that journeyman Jay ("it's a joke") Williamson by 1 stroke on Thursday...he also failed to make the cut.

Michelle Wie needs to FIRE her father BJ with matters regarding the rest of her life.

Michelle needs 1 caddie who knows what the hell is going on and makes sure that Michelle knows the rules of golf and actually signs her score card.

Michelle still hasn't apologized to Annika for egregious blunder last year.

Michelle should not be playing any men's events she needs to get her confidence by qualifying for the LPGA tour and then winning some tournaments.

Go Peter Go!!!

RENO, Nevada (AP)-- Parker McLachlin made a 9-foot eagle putt as part of a 6-under 66 Saturday to set a course record for 54 holes and take a six-stroke lead into the final round of the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open.

Seal the deal tomorrow and bring home the turkey son....

Let's get that first win under the belt.

Wow, you're paying so much attention to Wie that you don't know McLachlin's name is Parker.

This blog is supposed to be all positive things about Parker but there are still those that feel the need to turn it into something ugly by posting all the negative crap about Wie.

Parker 'will' win tomorrow, he's just playing far too good to be caught.

As for Michelle, I know it was so convenient that she broke her wrist so that all the negative people in life can critisize her every move or decision...... But I'll let you know exactly what she'll do for the rest of the year and through next year.

First she'll more than likely make enough at the Women's Canadien Open to secure her LPGA card for next year. And she will more than likely accept more Asian PGA exemptions for the remainder of this year, maybe even some more LET event exemptions as well.

Then next year she'll go LPGA semi-full time if she makes enough at the Canadien Open.... but even if she doesn't make enough in a couple weeks, she will still not go to the Q-school...why you may ask?------Because she is now fully recovering and she 'WILL' still get 6 LPGA sponsors exemptions next year and she 'WILL' make enough in them to easily get her LPGA card for 2010. You can put money on it. Oh and you can also pretty much figure on her accepting a couple PGA OR Asian PGA exemptions as well... because it is almost a guarantee that they will ask her.

There you have it in a nutshell. That will be her schedule for the next 15 months or so......:)
