Yes, it's good to see solid supportive parents instead of the overbearing type that punches you in the nose like Sean O'Hairs father.
Just goes to show you there's 'more than one way to skin a cat' so to speak.
Noticed Natalie Gulbis's father walking with her when I crossed her path at this year's Ginn Open.
She seems like a real sweetheart and made a point to say hello to everyone as she chose to walk outside the ropes with the patrons.
The gals are fun to watch and seem to have the makings of several good rivalries with youth being served lately. Ochoa, Pressel, Creamer, Park(s), Kerr, Petterson, etc. etc.
Even though Annika is retiring, I think the LPGA tour is in the best shape in a long time. It is odd to see so many Asian names on the leaderboard. But that will just make the U.S. players work harder.

They are mostly all very polite. This year at the Sanford, Birdie Kim came off of the 8th green and threw her ball down in disgust. I was a marshall there and saw her ball was right where players walked. I picked it up and handed it to her. She politely took it, nodded to me as if to say thanks and then threw it in the bushes. I thought that was funny.

That's pretty funny although I'm sure she feels a lot of pressure to live up to "being a US Open Champion".

Understand Toski is her coach & mentor. I remember going to a few of his free events when his learning center opened behind BCC. That guy could really hit the ball!

Also understand that the Koreans have a nationalized golf program which gives them a great head start over their male counterparts that are required to serve in the military for several years.

I'm actually surprised that more asians aren't doing better on the mens tour although Tiger certainly qualifies.

Let's just say that Tiger is a different animal. His mental ability to work through anything is amazing.

I'm not surprised that Asians are doing well in golf. I just root for the home team, so to speak. By the way, I root for Tiger - but many others as well.
