I went up to him at a practice round at the Masters 8 or so years ago. I asked him if a buddy of mine could take take a picture. This is allowed at practice rounds. He snarled "OK but make it snappy". The picture shows me beaming and Tom looking like he was getting a proctological exam.

His stellar performance in the Masters ended with a 6th place finish and now Lehman beats him at the draw. Not to steal Lehman's thunder, but would loved to have seen Couples get the win. Freddy is still such a competitor and always a class act.

I could not be happier for him and for MN golf. He's been the one guy I always hope makes the cuts and does well for the past 15 years or so. Mostly, he's held up his end of the golf bargain. Great guy, nice win!
