Stricker is exactly what the tour needs

Steve Stricker, the mild-mannered Wisconsinite, is difficult to market from a pure business perspective.

There is no such thing as a pure business perspective. If one has ever read the book,'Hidden Persuaders' by Vance Packard one understands that pure and business are two words that should never be used together.

Business means advertising and advertising is used to take advantage of the consumer in order to Persuade them to purchase/utilize their product (i.e., use this and you can do as well as...). The concept is ludicrous.

Steve Stricker is no doubt a good guy but trying to use his seemingly "squeaky clean" image may just backfire on the PGA Tour, if they try to use it. Winning and consistency is what is good for golf, image wise.

Golf needs winners like Monica and Tiger. Just stay out of their private lives and think golf.

The author of the article took cheap shots at Tiger Woods and also at the golfer that called Michelson a cheat. There are some images that some want to guard and others that seem to be ridiculed at any level of criticism. The author needs to report golf and leave his opinions in his pocket or wherever he carries his logic

I hope Stricker does not let the media try and run his life, leave him alone, let him win his few tournaments that he will win and let him be, otherwise he cud be another Tiger, who won t sign autographs or hardly will talk with fans..The media just wants all golfers to be at their call..Just leave the guys alone that don t want all the media hype .....
