We live in a world where every shot is recorded and recorded and played back and playedback The rules are interpreted by people who view the telecast and call in. What an archaic rule, when everyone knows what the poor girl shot.

The DQ only hurt the sad state of affairs in the LPGA. It only hurt the sport and the people who pay.

I will not watch the limited coverage that we do get unless Michele is playing.

The rules are there for the entire game of golf, from the professionals down to the majority of players--amateurs. Golf is a game of honor, where attesting to an accurate score goes to the very heart of the game. If those at the highest levels cannot do the simple act of properly attesting to a proper score, then how can we expect those at lower levels to do so. Shame on the players who don't follow the rules. Blaming the LPGA for Wie's stupidity shows neither Peter Schmuck Jim Bowles have any real appreciation for the game.

Jim! I don't think you should watch golf on Sunday. If you only watch it because of one person playing and not the top of the leaderboard. Sure i would have liked for Wie to win but thats not going to stop me from watching it today. Rules R Rules. Don't you count all of your strokes? So be it.

It's a rule. Maybe we should nave one set of rules for the brat and one set of rules for everybody else.

What she did ( or did not do ) did not affect her score or anyone elses score. She was DQed because she left the roped off area and came back and signed her card. If you have ever been to a tournament the whole area is roped off.
Why did they let her play Saturday? And then say " it was like telling a girl their was no Santa" That is bush league.
She came back and signed her card...Give me a break.

This is the 2nd DQ for the Stanford student. Have you heard her interviewed? She can hardly utter a sentence without inserting a couple of "you knows" in it. Too bad for her for not being bright enough to follow the rules.

What is the purpose of all the scorekeepers that walk along with the players?
Since they are there, use them, since it is a zoo out there in the crowds.

This is how we penalize people after their good effort! Yes, I agreed....rules are rules....but that rules were made hundred years ago, even live telecast still not exist! Now we live in modern days, things should be made easy, even slightest movement of ball can be detected.....so, is it right to DQed people for some ancient rules! I bet, if she submitted wrong score, the judges will still refer the score to the recorded tape, so why cant we do it vice versa!
