Fresh off a disqualification on the LPGA Tour, Michelle Wie has decided to tee it up against the men, again.

The tournament needs soneone to atract the crowd since most of the good male golfers are not playing. Wie can still attract the crowd. Why not use her. Kind of pathetic that she's fallen to this level.

Couldn't have said it better myself, put her in the long drive contests and tour her around the world, milk her for everything you can get out of her $$ while you can, "PHENOM" this girl hasn't won anything that I even consider makes her a "PHENOM" Annika, Paula and Lorena must just laugh their pretty faces off, watching this unwarranted so called "PHENOM" shoot high scores, choke, and yet be invited all over the world, she is 18 she is an adult, not no 13 year old PHENOM anymore, she can't win on the LPGA tour, so lets put her with the men again. wow what a joke. |

haha obviously this tournament had players drop out or had trouble filling spots if they had to invite michelle less then a week before it kicks off. This speaks volumes on how desperate team wie has become to have to accept such a last minute invite to a 3rd rate pga event. damn girl take the hint and show some pride in yourself.

she doesnt deserve this. she needs to learn to act like a pro - do all the right things - before she gets invited to these. shes and adult now, nothing special, not a special golfer anymore. When Tiger was a STanford student, did he forget to sign his scorecard - ever?

Well, I really think that the only reason she is playing in the Ren-Tahoe tournament is to get/keep her game on track before she plays in the Canadian Open. She is not elgible to play in any other LPGA tournaments because she has used up her exemptions, the Canadian Open being her last. So, it is a win-win situation for both the sponsors, more paying customers to help the bottom line, and for Wie to get one more tournament exposure under her belt. Of course, if she misses the cut and then plays terrible at the Canadian Open it will be disasterous for her mentally. Time will tell.

Too bad she is washed up and useless as a golfer now, what a waste of talent.
I wonder when her "Paris Hilton" video will show up and make her famous again. |

I am not sure she is washed up. She played very well last week before her 'brain freeze' by not signing her card before leaving the area. Her game was coming back. The Reno-Tahoe tournament and the Canadian Open (her last LPGA exemption) will tell the tale. |

The fact that they have invite these circus attractions to various golf tournaments just shows all of you how BORING golf is.
Can't have a successful golf game without inviting some "celebrity". The "controversy" of Michelle Wie is becoming the entertainment, sadly. Oh well. Money buys happiness, right? |
