bought my new putter from Walmarts sporting goods department. Tried it out yesterday, 8 shots better in my round, knew it. Wasn't me,it was the putter.

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world....by far

it's way more popular than the NFL, NBA, and especailly golf

I don't know why though, soccer is such a wimpy sport, it shouldn't even be considered a sport

yeh i can read. but soccer moms like you only say that because you like to put lipstick on to try to distinguish yourself from the pig. nice try but golf is the most popular and better supported financially. wimps and cheapos like you can't afford golf clubs, balls, gloves, and apparel. golf is for the people who work for a living instead of living off the dole.

She is looking for a win anywhere she can. This tournament will/is not easy since the top 35 players in the world were invited. Her easy tournament will be in So. Korea when she plays in the Men's tournament, unless she has pulled out. Of course she won't win that tournament either but, with the weak field, she has a chance to make the cut. Boy, if that happens the staunch supporters will never shut up and the naysayers will offer all the excuses/reasons that it really isn't as big deal. If it happens I can't wait for all the noise to start.

I guess that I am simply unable to make any headway with you on this. I am about to simply stop replying on this thread. There is so much more that is posted and it jut makes me wonder why bother if no one is going to read it. TOPIX did itself no favors by not having editors to post and promote articles of interest. I fear that the LPGA page did for too long without that it may just be dead.

I'll keep on posting on the LPGA page, and the season is nearly over. Maybe next year will get some new posters and the threads can heat up with some real golf talk.

PS. I rolled in 13 ONE putts on Monday on a Captains Choice. 11 for birdies and 2 for eagles. It was great.

Do you think people in those poor African countries give a crap about golf??

Do you think they can afford a golf club set?

They're more worried about where their next meal is coming from, not some golf clubs.

But even African countries have a soccer team.

You ever watch the World Cup?

If you did, then you'll know that soccer is the most popular sport in the world, and by far.

It unites entire countries in ways that no other sport can.

And again, I'll explain why. To play soccer, all you need is a ball, and something to represent a goal, the goal could be represented by just two trees or something simple. Golf is too expensive to be mainstream like soccer. Golf will never be as popular as soccer. NEVER!! For the exact reasons mentioned above.

Soccer rules all. It blows away the NFL, the NBA, and golf. Basketball has become more an international sport, but it pales in comparison to soccer.

And I'm not a soccer fanboy by any stretch of the imagaination, in fact, I think soccer is wimpy and shouldn't even be considered a sport, I hate it. But even I have to admit that soccer is very popular, the most popular sport in the world.

And for you to say golf is the most popular sport, above even soccer, just makes you lose all credibility--you know nothing about what you're saying. You are out of touch with reality.

But then again, you're the one who picked UH to win the WAC, so I'm not surprised.

You make it sound like this tourney is 4th tier. Look at the field--only the top golfers. And she's doing well. Hard times? I don't think so.
