Had these out for the first round of the season yesterday, so I had plenty of rust on me. I was really taken back by the forgiveness. I hit a couple shots way out on the toe and back near the heal and only lost about 5-7 yards on the shot and still got a pretty straight ball flight. Once I got settled in and made some decent swings I could feel how powerful the ping g20 irons are. They have a really nice solid feel and sound, but still give you decent feedback on bad shots. The ball flight is high and long but never ballooned on me. I went with the CFS stiff steel shafts with Cushin inserts. They really feel nice. I would compare the feel to Rifle flighted shafts. I'm actually leaving the factory grips on which I never do. They're really a nice grip for a stock grip. Really looking forward to the rest of the season with these. I've never come away from a season opener with this much confidence in my iron play.
Knowing exactly how far you hit each iron is a huge advantage on the golf course and the consistent yardage gapping of the PING G20 iron set delivers predictable distance control for more accurate shots. The G20 iron set also includes high-launching long irons that maximize the overall range and forgiveness of the set.
